What has started?
Do you mind elaborate what you meant by your topic because I can't find the connection between the post and the topic,
Your post seem to be carrying 2 different information, the first about dogecoin and gme, and then the link about child abuse in blockchain,  what are we looking at?

Or perhaps you mean if people already started using blockchain for hidden agenda  Huh that shouldn't be surprising, blockchain has no control and open to everyone, so it is very likely people will use it for different reasons.

That's what happens when everyone gets freedom. While you're thinking on how to make the most of the opportunity Bitcoin has brought, someone else is thinking on how to abuse it. Sadly, this is one of the sad part of crypto as a whole, and you can't stop it, unless everyone is stopped (not possible).

Exactly,  there is a price for everything, decentralisation will not come freely and work perfectly, there is going to be a heavy price to pay for it and we are just getting started it seems,
When people have too much freedom on their possession they tend to explore it in different ways, not everyone has the same good thoughts about how to utilise this opportunity btc and blockchain had presented.

I opened the OP link. And I did not quite understand the meaning of his post. The article is dated February 6, 2019. How does this relate to the story with GME and Dogecoin?
What does the author mean by his post? What started?
Generally speaking, there is and will always be abuse, and it is utopian to think that fraud will ever stop.
I just thought that whether I read wrong with what the OP wrote, because I could not find the meaning he was thinking.
but I see you as well as others are also confused by what the OP meant. it means that what the OP wrote does not reflect something clear and will lead to many different perceptions.

if it is asked what to start? Regarding the fraud that occurred, I think it is clear what you have said and I also ensure that fraud will always exist, so it takes law enforcers such as the police, to be able to solve this. but if the dicrypto fraud is clearly difficult and it depends on our ability to be able to avoid it.

Post content does not match at all, are you saying that GME and Dogecoin instigated child abuse on crypto? Abuses like this can't be stopped unless the people doing it and those who condone it stop. However, since blockchain is decentralized it can be a great medium to do illegal/bad things and there's not much we can really do to stop these kinds of abuse.

I didn't understand anything either.

It's really old news and there's already been countless discussions about this in this forum. I don't see what that has to do with GME and Dogecoin thing. And who are they?

This is quite true in any industry even including the religious organizations all because we are all humans, and we can make big mistakes that can be affecting many others, and we are also greedy to the point that we don't know where to know the lines. Sadly, the blockchain could not do substantial to stop abuses though maybe we can somehow minimize them. And yes we could not censor everything and everybody because that can be counterproductive.

Not new though, here is a 2014 posts here in this community, Child porn image embedded in the blockchain, (I didn't open the link of the OP though, don't want to click external link, might be same).

And I would say that there are pros/cons of having too much freedom but I think the pros of using blockchain outweigh the cons by a mile.

In other words: we want fairness, legal activity, freedom and decentralization but we can't really possibly have them all. BSV is looking for ways to censor their blockchain users and some people are probably using the BSV chain in a "troll" way (although I do not condone this in any kind of way especially since it's illegal content) to taint it.

By "they", who do you mean? The mainstream media? They've been scared of cryptocurrencies ever since they started to exist. And they probably always will.

So I was looking at some memes and one image popped up (not the same website tho) and I let out a little chuckle. Are they getting really scared after the whole GME and Dogecoin thing?
