The short term situation is going to be decided at this time.

If it will hold the current price for  a while, breakout is going to occur . If not we will see one more correction to 6000$.

But one thing is for sure there are a a lot more bullish indicators that in last weeks.
Also we have to keep in mind the futures which are going to end on 14th of February

Whenever Bitcoin dipped by as little as 5%, everyone called that "the big correction."

After Bitcoin hit $12K from $20K everyone believed it was the end of the correction, Bitcoin then hits $10K and yet again, people say that is the end of the correction. Bitcoin is at $9K at the time of writing this post.

Is this the end of the correction?

Hard to tell since we know the corrections could have been caused by market manipulation

I see correction and panic that caused the price of BTC to drop to 8K. Too many new investors in cryptos last year and they were attracted to cryptos because of the possible huge return. They are not in for the long term, they are just in for the profits then run so there you have it, pumped to almost $20k then dropped to $8k.

I think we are heading to 5 digits again, perhaps $15,000 before another possible small corrections. I think we won't be touching 4 digits again unless more bad news will break the current trend.

No one could predict bitcoins prices because votality is always at stake, correction will always there no doubts with that but most probably it will end and start to fluctuate again. Most people panic about the dip that was happening but those people who strongly believe its potential remains to where they stand to HODL their bitcoin.

If the issue of when the end of the correction is hard to guess, but even though bitcoin goes down deeply but that's not the end of it all, bitcoin will get better and triumph soaring high prices to the moon, I strongly believe about it.

a small percentage drop is not a correction, the same way that a small percentage rise is not a rally!
anything that is smaller than 10% is just normal market fluctuation because bitcoin market is tiny.

from $20k to $12k and then $10k is not a 5% drop it is 40% and 50% drops respectively. and that was the correction which ended then and there.

i personally don't call price falling below $10k a correction anymore, i call it manipulation, panic sell, and dumping to push the price under the limit that it should have gone normally.
that is my theory and i will stick with it until i am proven otherwise.

Let us try and understand what a ‘Correction’ is, and how we differentiate between a ‘Correction’ and a ‘Speculation’. According to experts say ‘A correction is a reverse movement, usually negative, of at least 10% in the price of a currency or index to adjust for an overvaluation’. So, we have witnessed multiple occasions in the past for corrections to happen. It's also equally important to understand the difference between “Speculation and Usage Demand”. Under normal circumstances, Bitcoin price rises simply due to “usage demand”. Since supply is limited, and people use Bitcoin as a store of long-term value, the price rises. And, as Bitcoin becomes a better means of transaction, the price rises. These are healthy, normal rises in value simply due to the fact that Bitcoin is precious and rare. However, there are less healthy rises where Bitcoin simply goes up because people think it is going up. This is “speculation”. The problem with speculative bubbles is that they are not backed by real usage, other than people's emotions, hunches, and gut-feelings. And so, eventually the tide changes - which usually happens when the rise starts to stall, and fear takes over. And as fear creates more fear, money starts to leave -- and the price is corrected back to the normal level. Usually it corrects back to a level below the normal level. Hence, it swings which can happen frequently within a given period of time.

I don't know where you were in the middle of January but the worst of the correction or so we believe happened then. Bitcoin touched briefly under 6k and has gone back up. I believe the correction is now over and we are gearing up for another run, but seriously did you just get in? It wasn't possible to miss that! Tongue

many pros said the resistance is on 9k, if it breaks 9k it will go through  9,5k - 10k and will reach 10-12k next month.
If it won't break, it could be a bull trap and it will go to 7k - 6k
