dont forget to add --thread-concurrency XXXX for LTC mining.

I set mine at 8192 for my Radeon 5850.
Value should be divisable by 64, eg 2048, 4096, 8192. Play about until it crashes cgminer then ramp it down Smiley

Ye you need at least 2GB ram really.

I think I found where I did wrong
Just notice the HW increase crazy in cgminer, it turns our I can only use -I 13 for this card.....

that's too bad for a 7950.

my 7850 is doing better  Sad, anyway to solve this problem? say by increasing the memory of the system or flash the video bios to something else?

Thanks.

you need to give it time. Hashrate on a pool is calculated on how fast you submit shares. give it a few min to calculate properly Smiley

I literally give it about 7 hours, I let it run when I went to bed last night, this morning I saw the hash rate graph in the pool with max around 260 something while on my screen cgminer still shows more than 500 : (

with 7850 I usually have around 1500 shares per (500,000), and now it's less than 1000 Sad

spent the afternoon and still can't find out why... Undecided

I had the same doubt, so I dig out a 1G ram and use only one 7950, but it seems the whole system only use like 1.1G of the total 3G ram I plugged in.

strange..... Sad

and when I use 7850, on the screen it shows Accepted xxxxxxxxxx  for a long time before a
LONGPOLL detected new block shows up

but with 7950, it shows up very often.....

I might be wrong here but if I recall correctly litecoin is RAM intensive so it could be due to a low amount of RAM. Throw a few larger sticks in there and it should be fine.

I did search everywhere I can but can't find an answer.

I have a 7950 (Powercolor) and a 7850 (XFX)
if I use 7850 alone, cgminer shows 349Kh/s while the pool (burnside's) also shows some value around 349Kh/s after maybe 10 mins
but if I change to 7950, cgminer shows 510.xx/Khs while the pool shows very from 1xx - 2xx something

I use  -I 17 for 7950 and -I 15 or 16 for 7850 when I do the tests and with both -w 128 and 256

          GPU Clock      Mem Clock      VDDC
7950    950              1200              1.0
7850    1000             1250              no change

and this only happen when I am mining litecoin.

am I missing anything? thanks

p.s. does it have anything to do with my system memory? I only plug a DDR2 2G memory
