After so many threads where people left numerous messages about Hashocean being a scam, people still invested in it. Now, when it went down, these same people come here and how is it possible it went down and run with their money.

WTF is the problem?

Since you re a member of this forum, u must ve seen these warnings. Sorry for your loss, learn from it.
I for one was not a member of this forum when I invested in hashocean or started using bitcoin, I've recently joined this forum.
Is this the only place where people get to know about bitcoin? Of course not, you cannot be assuming that I hope so.
So I've heard about bitcoin at another place, but I only get to know about the warnings of cloud mining a little too late.
Anyways, lesson was learned.

Offcourse Bitcontalk shouldn't be the main source for information, but Google is. If you would have googled or even analyzed (due dilligence) he site you would have seen there was no proof of anything really; mining, office etc.

I believe bitcointalk is the biggest source of information about bitcoin. because everything about bitcoin you can find here. and about hashocean people first time posted in this forum that it will turn to scam.
if we search in google then google also mostly refer us to the bitcointalk..
but yes. searching through the google is easier than the forum.
and yes. research and proper paper work is very important before joining any site. no matter if it is a cloudmining or any other type.

HashOcean really fucked it up, they scammed us all and I think that we have to do something about it.
I hope the FBI is gonna investigate this because its just insane these criminals has to be behind bars..
Frankly speaking owners of HashOcean will never be prosecuted or put behind the bars by FBI. The main problem here is the core principle of  bitcoin, a decentralization.
No one controls bitcoin which means the problem now is that we have anarchy of the unregulated crypto companies.

Until some kind of actions will be made, to adopt some sort of universal security measures to regulate crypto companies we will never see FBI or any institution or agency taking legal actions against scammers.

File complaints in your local jurisdiction; if enough jurisdictions contact the FBI regarding the issue, it will become a priority Grin

How did you just now discover this? That was weeks ago, Charlie Murphy!

Hashocean is down and from now on it will stay down, it was just a Ponzi like most of these websites nowadays.
You could have seen this already from many miles away they are all just a bunch of criminals after this...

All ponzis are same they all have this ending because it doesnt have any destination but to scam all people and they are just maling a way to attract users to join their program just like what hashocean have done . So for now people should learn from this incident .
Maybe some mining site it's has the same owner and because this the ending is always the same way, and make me very bored to see this. but I'm not believed about there is a people is still believe with this service until now, and try to fall into them again and just getting the same story.

I cannot imagine how could anyone would not thing this is not a 100% ponzi scheme.
It was up for about 2 years.Every month the block difficulty increases,so mining gets less profitable.
And their site was getting more and more profitable every month.
You haven't seen something strange here?

It's always very interesting to me how long it takes some people to filter here after a massive theft or scam. Firstly is how did you even find out about crypto, if for not this board, and secondly some of these sites/assets exist solely in this forum for all practical purposes. If you didn't hear about it here, you didn't hear about it. We had Gox dudes showing up a month later talking about account access issues. Maybe it's me, but I constantly check on my investments, even the long term ones. I can see a day late, but bearing personal issues (crypto isn't everything) I can't understand coming to the party multiple days late.

It's been 2 or 3 days that it becomes a big issue here in this section and of course in the other bitcoin investments or bitcoin discussions websites . I know that it is sad for you and the other people who made investment with hashocean but you to accept the truth that these hashocean is already and finally gone . Well goodluck for your next plan of earning btc .

Its over with Hashocean they really scammed a lot of people, soon or later that would happen.
I already saw this coming from far, never invest in mining websites people its wasted time for sure.
In another forum someone shared an article on some bitcoin website that they got hacked... so it is possible they do come back and resume their services.
It is quite hard to believe now but maybe... hopefully... they do come back and resume.

Dont hope to much dude because theirs no hyip returns and continue paying after they run hash ocean chapter is done they run completely if they really plan to comeback well thats for new site surely they will make another cloudmining site and fooled people again and we must be carefull all hyips are scam that word we must remember and that can help so we cannot be scam in future.

fix scam?

Its totally fix now even though in the first minute since they deleted their fb page, twitter account and youtube videos and this really means that their intention is to run without comeback now thats why i dont really believed thay their site is been attack by hackers nor it was their escape strategy and run happily with their investors money.

Think of this as an example. All cloud mining sites will go down someday. It is not profitable, with all their fees. Just stop feeding the sharks.

This must be a big reminder to all people to not invest in any form of cloudmining sites today because surely its repeated scam will be happen.

Looks like hashflare.io is down now too.

Website is up and running actually but many people here predict this will be the next one to fall as many people consider this as a ponzi, it looks a lot alike like MiningSweden which has already gone scam and the userbase is only at about 8000 persons which is also very similar to MiningSweden. They are playing with the Scrypt now to prolong their life but as everyone else have said before here, its best to stay away as cloud mining is long dead and not profitable anymore. You can check Cloudmining101 thread here to check if a mining website is legit or a potential ponzi.

How much Bitcoin have you lost shamzblueworld? I know of a few people who have made some profit from HashOcean HYIP. I warned them that it is another ponzi based cloud mining 'game' but they continue. They tried to make me join. I say no. They say there is free mining power ... I still stand with 'no'.

Take it as a lesson and don't trust cloud mining anymore. Even if the company looks legit and can comply with CloudMining 101 risk assessment standard. It is safer and (maybe more profitable) if you purchase a mining hardware and mine yourself.

(By the way, I am jacktheking. Nice to see you here at Bitcointalk. Smiley).
Hello there mate, I had invested $31 in there... and I am quite new to bitcoin so this was my first bitcoin adventure.
