I dont know why there are so much fool people
Giving their money to unknown people only because they say will use them for mining and will pay interest
Why just not build own rigs with that money and thats will not scammed until thats rigs not profitable anymore

hahaha just let them lose what they have because they also want it , we all know that theres so many stupid people out there that easily trusted this ponzi . now hashocean will be only memory for them .  Grin Grin

For sure that's a lesson learned for those people who trusted the sweet words of hash ocean and the take-time trust that went years just to get the trust of the investors.
And now hash ocean already got their bitcoins and he will just happily ever after. I'm thinking if big time investors is going to file case against them, do you think investors will win if ever possible?

I saw that HashOcean had more than 700.000 investors.

I think some people invested heavily on it, and surely will try to find the Ponzi owner to file against him, I don't believe someone would be crazy to invest big amounts of money on it without a trump card if the site run away.

I was playing the investigator from the last few hours after I found that they got scam and here you have an address which received funds from them and received more than 5700 BTC or equal to more than 3 mln USD.

https://blockchain.info/it/address/15bNwqC25FtG6b3igwaT9kapma1keq9mj6

What do you guys think ? They won an enormous amount of money from idiots who deposited money into them.
5700 BTC is actually $ 3.7 million i bet that address is already on very safe place in vault, maybe no one will touch it for a few years. I'm curious how hard is it to exchange such amount into fiat anonymously. I will bookmark that address and will be checking it just out of curiosity.

Its pretty easy actually if they use a mixing service like Bitmixer or Cryptomixer , they can split this amount into many different new addresses and can receive money into those addresses by using the mixers so no one will know from where truly this amount of money came. However I still think the same as you, they will let this money sit for sometime, and they will soon start with another scam ponzi with a different name. Anything that promises 15 KHS free forever I hope everyone now know that they are a scam in the end.

Cloud mining sites are getting shutdown scamming people one by one these days. First one was cldmine and now well known hashocean, they offer 100% roi on 2 months which is enough for me to get far from them as even real mining can't give that much return with current difficulty and upcoming halving.

Added to the list the topmine.io shutdown also at the same day with hashocean. So maybe the same admin runs that two site. Anyways enough for this ponzi sites. And earn bitcoin with proper way or with fun like gambling.

their shutdown just already planned and after shutdown a new brand cloud mining site will appear and their missionaries will spread it around
so people would get interested to join this ponzi scheme and end up losing, and this will be retried again and again

Well yes, but if that address belongs to Hashocean I am surprised there are that many stupid people. I mean that's a lot of bitcoin but amount was sent from this address:
https://blockchain.info/it/address/16QgkRgJ5ZpQnG8JjCWdLnb3HBkDqySAh3

Which had a total revenue 50K bitcoin. I doubt there are that many stupid people.

This is the dark side of Bitcoin , a company like this can steal Millions from people , and no one can judge them , because no one know who are them , I think this is the greatest problem that weaken Bitcoin and make the goverments fight it .

Lol actually you cannot be truly sure to those ponzi like hashocean the only problem is that you easily trust them just because they have bee operated since 2012 . But it doesnt really mean that they provide you a services for a life time , and the sad thing is you cannot report them to the authorities because they are also anonymous and maybe because of that action the govenmen will consider the bitcoin as illegal .

2012?!!!!
the domain was registered less than 2year ago

anyway this will never affect bitcoin price .
Peace .

Without doubt this from the site of hashocean maybe they have members to site like totally they have 3 members and each of them got the same price like this so we will calculate 5700 x 3 so totally they got 17, 100 BTC what if they have more than 3 members so if we will convert it in USD, well thats WOW! A realy big income from the biggest ponzi sites ever in bitcoin.

Another Mt.gox you mean  Wink
Shame on the people who used the cloudmining websites and for the other who still using thoses kind of ponzi, time to quit it people!
Hope it will not affect the bitcoin price pfff...

I don't think bitcoin price will be affected by ponzi companies like this, we all knew sooner or later they would have quit business, they found the perfect opportunity and run away with 3 million dollars, thats just crazy and unbelievable. By the way whats their new website called as I am pretty confident they are already moving on with their new scam plan.

Yes, I think this is exactly what happened. That was known for some time that this company has no real machines in their possession.
They waited for BTC boom, gathered as much users assets  as they thought they can and vanished. Simple.
Now, we will observe how they try to dodge the responsibility. Lousy excuses, "we where hacked" going to appear and so on.
Only a law suit will get investors their money back, luckily some country's allow mass lawsuits, so there is a chance to get your 10 dollars back:)
