I also have a gigabyte 3070ti that lose hashrate when temp is up to 59°C but a little table fan pointed at the backplate do the job very well, the real culprit is the mem temp, extra cooling is needed if you own 3070ti and other Gddr6x GPUs out there.

I thought I knew it all until I bought a 3070ti GPU and mine ETH with it for days, the problem is the GPU start at 59MH and after two hours it goes down to 54MH, I fought with this for days using different LHR configs but little did I know that the issue is heat, whenever my 3070ti reached 60°C temp it loses hashrate, I turned a fan to the backplate then things go back to normal, this cards hate heat this much? Sigh  Embarrassed Embarrassed
Not all video cards consistently support hashrate in mining, and the solution to problems appears with experience.
Write your video card model in 1 post to warn other miners. I think that after replacing the thermal paste and thermal pads, this problem will be solved.

Repad then, i use thermalright odissey pads for that, i hear gelid are good but expensive. I have 7 Nvidia cards for repad, is tiresome and risky, after a good repad, GPU core temp go up, the heatsink cant do a good work with all components touching it.

Correct, the higher the heat the lower your hashrate goes, this is common on RTX 3070ti and 3080 too but in general heat affects graphic cards hashrate so it's better to cool them with fresh air or other cooling ways.

Has nothing to do with GPU temperature. It is the memory temperature and it is know problem since the release of the RTX30x0 series. Problems have nearly all models with GDDR6X memory. Check the mem temp. Change thermal pads and thats it.

I think that is mostly an Nvidia issue as I have seen it happening in my Rtx 3060 ti non LHR card and also on my Rtx 2060 12 GB cards, when they reach like 55 degree Celsius or more they start losing hash rate gradually but not that much as 5 Mhsh you are describing, mostly the loss for me is like 0.5-1.5 Mhsh maximum.I haven't seen that happening on AMD cards at least in the latest gen the big navi as I have a couple of Rx 6800 XT and they keep the same hash rate even at 65 degree Celsius with just only slight degradation like 0.2 Mhsh as a maximum lost hash rate.

Wrong.
He has a GDDR6X temperature problem, you describe the normal behavior of modern GPU´s. The GPU´s beginn to clock down slightly if they reach an specify temperature. Increase fan speed or set a real fixed gpu clock. Most people set a fixed clock, but the cards are not lock the clock.

For once you are right I overlooked that "little" detail of the Gddr6x memory which is well known to make cards suffer from the heat. Then it must be this kind of memory that is responsible for that big loss in hash rate.
Then RTX cards with Gddr6x are bad built from Nvidia, this might be the last RTX card I will spent money on maybe it's time to go AMD or older gtx graphic cards.

Only 3070 ti,3080,3080 ti and 3090 are with that type of memory. You still can buy RTX 3060 ti and 3070 which are only GDDR6 memory and they do not overheat that easily.Yes the GDDR6X tend to overheat but as you said giving them some additional cooling in most cases solves the problem,it is not a design problem, they just need additional cooling when used at 100% capacity like in mining.
