From what I read they use a water tower for cooling. It’s similar to a standard HVAC system just uses water. Only waste is evaporation.

Check out their site. The miners are submerged in mineral oil. Mineral oil is circulated to a heat exchanger that requires a small amount of water input to maintain evaporative cooling. I believe the container pictured has several 'sealed' assemblies inside.

Hrm nothing small about the evap coolers water intake i've seen in DC and they wouldnt touch this much power dissipation. I'm not an engineer so i can't tell exactly if these numbers could add up, but from what i know and from my own, evaporation cooling require dry intake, which would not work in all climates. This is because once the relative humidity is high due to evaporation, no more cooling effect is produced.

If the tank/container is fully sealed, how does it dissipate the heat? It mention a water input.

Does it just exchange the heat to the water and then dump it? The amount of water you'd need to pump in and dispose of is pretty big... 225kW/670kW is no joke, it would turn a normal hose into steam.

If it come in with pumps, then you need a big water source you can pump from, and filters. I don't think a desert would do.

What was the pricing?

Couldn't see anything about ordering on the site.

HashTank H20 & H40 units from GRCooling

Anyone come across one of these yet? Standard models available for order, complete with S9's (144 or 432 of them). I suspect the pricing I was given yesterday is not accurate, based on current pricing from Bitmain on the S9's. The economics of a few S9's still beats the HashTanks, unless you've got cheap power. They suggested lead time of about 12 weeks.
