That's not gonna work. That would be out of your hands as the servers that direct these mails are ISPs. For example when a mail is sent on your Google mail account it is stored and redirected through the Google's server. Whenever you access your gmail account it interacts with its parent Google server through your Internet service provider and checks if a new mail has arrived whether be it a spam or not. If the address listed in the mail is blacklisted or recognized as a spam by your preset preferences it is automatically withheld from reaching you. There's no way that the server itself can be set to reject an incoming mail without the help of company whose mailing services you are enjoying. Only they can do that.

My idea was to "close" the incoming server to email coming from database signed as spamming, for rejecting them to sender. If mail arrive in my inbox and goes to spam folder probably, if i don't delete them,  in a few times my avalaible space on webmail will end!

Cool idea but I'm satisfied by the filters my gmail has. A few years ago I woulda signed up for sure. These days it's settled down a little bit.

I honestly don't think that allowing a third party to go through your mails would be a good idea as there is a potential risk of making your contacts or important mails vulnerable to invasion.i would suggest you block spammers individually (if that's even possible considering the sheer number of people who do spamming) if you could do so or you could get someone to design the algorithm for you that allows you to set certain contacts or addresses as safe and delete the rest identifying them as spam. But seriously I won't recommend using an external service to go through your emails.
But the service can be something like a macro or an add-in for outlook, internet browsers or a service for email providers.

That add-on idea is really nice. Someone should really work on it. Integrating it within the browser so that when you open your E-mail account it automatically starts sorting and arranging spams from your prescribed list of contacts and displays the junk in a nice compact list form (displaying only the "subject" of mail or something like that) and then ask final permission for deleting and then sending them to trash.
The main difficulty would be to tailor it according to different browsers (once the coding is done).
Is that even possible???

I strongly think at least we can say it is possible. But developers can better give opinions about this.

I think this idea is nice, but it's not as easy as it sounds. I've found that gmail and modern email clients have a very good spam filter, that may be the reason why no one has bothered to make your idea a reality yet.

It would be a great idea. However, I think most services require an special link to unsuscribe, a link that is only sent into the e-mail address of the suscriptor, so a service like that would somewhat require the password to the e-mail address in order to allow the unsuscription to take place...

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I got 1300 unread mails and about 300 mails all the time at junk folder which deletes over 1 month old posts. Grin
I so used to it that it doesn't even bother me anymore.

I think this is a really good idea, and you would certainly have a lot of users. What could be automatically selected as spam could be based on the email address of the sender or by keywords in the message, everything set up previously by the user.
I appreciate your idea of selecting or filtering by special character and it may work better for that idea.

Funnily enough it was this sort of problem that led to the development of "hashcash" (which unfortunately never took off) which is the basis of the Proof Of Work algorithm used in Bitcoin.

BTW - you don't want to bother sending "unsubscribes" because if the senders are spammers that will just cause them to send more spam your way.

I checked it and frankly I don't feel comfortable using it as it seems a little too invasive.

I see that this is very bad pitfall for this website and it can be advantage for newcomer start-ups.

I think there is a basic problem in your idea which is the way we want to delete all posts from the databases. They are not fixed and they cannot be deleted.

this is a good idea, I have not heard of this before.

But the main problem I see is deciding what is spam mail, I sign up for news letters and stuff that just go straight to spam, could be tricky.

Well, I think spam is all database that send you more than a mail per days. Then, for solve problem you that you say, use simply go to subscrime another time to newsletter that want to receive.

Take a look to screenshot of my mail an then you could understand how i'm tired about this! (i cannot change my mail due to the fact that wholesaler and customer use this to contact me, and i've this email since 1998! )

I've an idea about a new digital service  . I haven't any capacity in programming, so I would talk with some user and see I this idea could bee good .

My problem (common to million of other user) :

My email is always full of spamming mail . Then i go to unsubscribe me from each mail listing. But after some week , spamming return  Cry

Idea:

Someone could develop a website in wich all user, after signing up, could insert their e-mail address for an automatic delete  from all spamming database? i think is not really difficult to build, and at the same i think it could woth a lot of maney  Shocked

What do you think?
