Go on, but always remember that investment on altcoin are always have risk. We dont know for sure what would happen few years from now. I dont see any negative feedback with energi current business and their platform is performed well. Volume of their coin is also good and have a good standing on coinmarketcap. 
If you know what you are doing, just do it. If you have done your part of researching, there is no need to worry on your part.

If you wanna invest in NRG and I suggest you wait for the bottom consider this coin has a huge chance to go back below $2 rate again it it would be around $1.5The chart tells us about the possibility to be dumped again caused by various factors. You can take the lowest rate that happened on the march when it was traded at $1.15 as your point to enter if nrg can reach that rate.

anyway NRG is good project, but about the next ethereum i disagree with you
because a lot of project claimed as the next ethereum, but the fact, until now there is no project can replacing eth as the second best crypto in this world buddy
