Really funny how they make you pay for warranty work.

So  you lose out either way. You either pay for free warranty but need to pay $300 to ship to China.

Or get cheaper shipping but need to pay for the repair.

Pretty much Bitmain doesn't want people to mine anymore.

Why would they, its direct competition with them & the megafarms they sell to  Wink

Just buy video cards & forget about Bitcoin, leave BTC to the commercial miners..............

They have no competition, so why would they care?
All this BS with latest models, yet they still sell out in hours?

When you are the only one in the market, you don't need to try very hard.

Please let us know how your experience is with sending the unit to China for warranty repair goes. I have only heard nightmare stories which is what opted me to send it to Bitmainwarranty in Colorado. They fixed my miner and shipped it back out the same day it got there, which allowed me to have minimum downtime.  I had a good experience with them but I am curious how bitmain china would handle warranty.

If your shipping cost is more than $25 to send the whole unit of S9 or T9 or R4, we can email you the prepaid UPS label for $25.  If your unit has free return shipping in the sales term, please contact [email protected] for the prepaid label.

Before you send item to Colorado, please make sure Colorado location is a fee based repair, unless unit was purchased with specific terms that the warranty or service be provided to you from Colorado or any other international localized location.

If your purchase did not include this service, and seeking the free warranty, please follow this process.

What has been people's experience with this process?  Has anyone just sent their machine to Colorado?  Who did you send it through, UPS, USPS, FEDEX?  How much was shipping?  Thanks in advance for your response.  I'm going to get it out this weekend.

It is still under warranty, and I am not trying to pay for extra service under warranty.  So I will be sending this unit back to China.

Hmmm...   A pricing error or intentional gouging? One can only wonder...

My experience with Bitmain's RMA in China can be found here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15478853

Someone else's experience with Bitmain Denver can be found here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17666196 I really liked this part:

**ATTENTION ALL POTENTIAL BITMAIN WARRANTY CUSTOMERS**

Today I went to my local UPS store to ship out my Batch 4 R4 that needs repair and picked up my Batch 2 R4 that was shipped back on Friday (I have been out of town).

When I opened the box, I was shocked to see they shipped the miner back to me without the foam packing that goes on each end of the miner which was on there when I shipped to Denver. This means the R4 was not tightly packed and sliding around inside the box. In addition, I found one heat sink that had fallen off and one of the protective plastic sleeves for the hash board slots missing.

Seriously??? Crap product from China, slow repair service from Denver, and $225 later I still have a damaged miner. I do not even want to power it up out of fear of causing more damage.

Well my experience has been ok with Colorado repairs  and when you point out that bitmain or bitmainwarranty is in the wrong they  will fix it if you have proof they are wrong.

Here is a case of them fixing a pricing error when I posted it  this is now correct and matches on both pages.

This has been corrected and the number is now 967 on both websites.
So if you order that march 1 unit  be sure to check  and see that the numbers match on hashnest and bitmain  as they should .

Also if you purchased the s9 at the 917 rate  ask for a refund of around 60 usd.  I really would like to see and read if you got stuck and if they fix it.

as a heads up  coinbase is quoting btc at 960 usd

bitmain is quoting btc at 917

thus  you lose about 65 dollars if you use coinbase.

Hashnest has coins at 956

since hashnest and bitmain share the same website  and are under the same umbrella it is really fucking bad that they do not match

Take a look
