I have never tried to buy games with bitcoin, but I am waiting to blizzard start to accept bitcoins for their games. I am a big fan of their games, but I don't want to spend money from my salary for such not serious things. But I would spend bitcoins gladly Cheesy
Me too, I never tried buying one, I am not that kind of guy who puts money on my gaming, I just download good games online. And I dont really had that enough bitcoin to buy one. Though I love FPS games so if I had enough bitcoin I will buy one

i bought small indie game, i spent not so much like 0.01 btc, it was very satisfying to pay in bitcoin, i'll buy more when the time come

Oh ok that great, which kind of ganes do they have there, I'll like to try buying something from there. Do they ship internationally? I guess I have to do the research myself but any input would be appreciated very much.

Most people here bought the digital version of the game, It's easier and simpler, you can just bought it and download it. Steam sell a lot of games, don't know the exact number. Currently i don't know merchant who sell phyical version in bitcoin.

I didn't know that so many people here use Steam. I mean it makes a little bit of sense as this being a computer forum and all.

I haven't purchased anything from steam though I purchased $1,000+ with BTC at Gamestop.
no it is not indeed , but people around here sometimes use steam and buy games with bitcoin for the sake help the merchant of bitcoin growing faster , so another similar merchants will follow how steam adopt bitcoin as their payment processor.
i don't often play games , but i have bought several games there with bitcoin foo.

It's good to see that people here isn't just about money and they are having fun!

Helping another human being out is the right thing to do, nice job.

Well why not  Smiley, in my country, the steam regional pricing is sooo much cheaper than price in $. The only time i purchased games from somewhere else is when humblebundle or bundlestar has a good bundle running or there's some glitch in other site. Steam is also easy to use and it's nice to organize your games into one application.

The price difference is very interesting to note, thanks for that I didn't realize that until now.
yeaaa since i know not much i can do to help bitcoin grow faster as payment processor .
i always wondering to see bitcoin really used globally , i mean even a non-tech savvy use and spend bitcoin .
steam have a large community , and i have invited a lot of people to use bitcoin to buy a game there and so far most of them really interested in bitcoin.

yes i had bought a lightweight game with bitcoin that too online from a website the game is action game and was the first game to be bought online with bitcoin. I generally buy web host and domains with bitcoin because bank payment is more tedious for me.

Buying Steam game with bitcoin is the most effective way to support Bitcoin and make it more popular to other people. I have bought many steam game by bitcoin and it is very convenient. However, the prices are not very cool. Bitcoin is more valuable than other kinds of payment but we have to pay the same price like them. For example, Bitcoin is worth +5%-10% preev in PayPal but in steam, the price of game in Bitcoin and Paypal are equal.
Aren't they charging the same prices with all payment methods? I don't see why they would need to lower the prices for purchases with Bitcoin.
I know that some companies do that, but just don't see it as a requirement.

the funny thing is that when Steam didn't accept bitcoin, i was a gamer and wanted them to accept bitcoin, i even asked the support team multiple times and they always said we are considering it.
but when they finally added support for bitcoin payment, i was not much of a gamer anymore because of life and being busy in general. although i have topped off my steam wallet with some bitcoin and i think i still have balance there about 50 bucks remaining that i have not yet spent!

Bitcoin- in bullish time
I bought steam games (Assassin's Creed 3) and i bought it for 12$ in bitcoin. Paying and getting the game is pretty easy and smooth and this is great for me and some of us because we can now use our bitcoin to buy different kind of things that we like. I hope soon, this kind of online business will expand and not only games but also other things will be offer and pay by bitcoin.

I never used bitcoin to buy games directly from steam, did the rate high or it's a fair rate? But if it's from othersite like humblebundle then i've used bitcoin on a few transactions probably about $60 in the last 6 month. I prefer to pay using other method beside bitcoin and save my bitcoin for tading or investment.

Cashback 15%
For the last 6 months or so, I have been buying Steam games and in-game items, most of which for CS:GO and Dota 2 but I have also bought several AAA releases on Steam and other stuff too. So upon doing a quick look on my account, I have spent almost $500 in bitcoin for games and in-game items up to now. It might be more expensive to buy it with bitcoins but it's more efficient and more easier to use bitcoins than CC (which I never added on my account in the first place.)

Did not buy off-steam allot because steam's rates are extremely high compared to even smaller merchant websites offering steam products Let alone forum merchants selling items at a small rate compared to theirs. I did buy few games though and the BTC payment option was good before. did not see it for a while so not sure if they did take it down or not.
I wouldn't call Steam's rates extremely high, sure those websites that sell Steam codes usually sell them for less, but the difference isn't that big. Plus, by bying from Steam directly with Bitcoin, that's just another big company that has some incentive to keep offering Bitcoin payments.

And Steam also has a lot of sales which makes prices even better than on those other websites.

I haven't tried it yet and upon checking I just realized you can buy steam games using bitcoins now. That's amazing and convenient. Maybe if I were to buy from steam using bitcoins, I would wait for the steam sale and look for the games I like. I usually like RPG games so that would be my choice for the games I would buy.

I have tried several times using steam and I have tries to use my bitcoin but I always gets error and never get the chance to send my bitcoins to steam. I am confused and I got lost as to what will I do next or what step did I made a wrong move. But I keep on trying how to do it but I am afraid that when I send my bitcoins to steam it will go to waste and so I just used the ordinary method of purchasing games from steam. Hope I can use bitcoin to buy games in steam but I need a tutorial so it will go well.

Oh I see. I haven't tried it so I never had the chance to get to the part where I have to send bitcoins to steam. I'll check it out later and see if I would have any success. Though I see a lot of people in steam forum selling other stuff for bitcoins, like CS:GO keys for unlocking crates and other skins for sale using bitcoins.
