Well it's true, ICOs are still the most profitable short term investment there is in the crypto markets for me. Even though I say in a short term at least its beneficial for some who does not want to wait that long and have their own type of strategy rather than holding.
I don't intend giving up on ICOs because I believe that after the market will start to recover, ICOs will be beneficial for us and for every investor.

I still believes on ICOs as the best gateway to get a profits but this is also the playground of those scammers that will lure the investors money. Also the market has not doing good that makes some good projects to decide to stop and wait for the market recovery. There's still a lot of ICO that succeeded so I guess the ICO industry is still profitable but only pick project that you think is for a long-term, there are ICO that doesn't deserve to be in this business, they just want to set up for the sake of setting up and there are to many of these kind of ICO

Correct, i am not giving up anything, remember that losers gonna quit, but winners gonna make a way, ICO's are there, and its up to us how to deal with them, of course, the best course is to use our knowledge on them.
I've not given up on ICOs, but I've simply taken a break on investing in any one, until the market rebounds considerably and ETH is above $500 as I'm not ready to stomach more losses like the ones I experienced year where 95% of all ICOs I invested in were not profitable, forcing a long hodl to atleast recoup my capital.
Don`t be discouraged cause of the hard drop in prices, look at the bright side, now we have chance again to invest while prices are low, this can be an unique opportunity for all the people who missed last year and incredible rise. Market needs to be calm for some time, maybe even a year or two, but we will see a grow like we saw last year. Now what we need to do is to observe potential coins and invest in them right now, as long as prices rest and drop we need to use that time in searching for potential projects.
indeed yes, as long as the project manager explains all the elements, what is the fundamental problem of the project, so they are silent as if the project is like a scam

I am done with investing in ICOs, but I am not done of buying these tokens. The strategy is to wait until the tokens will be live on exchanges and then buy them at much more attractive price, than at the ICO level.
Now there are difficult times for cryptocurrency and ICO, I think that many are trying to do everything right, but for some it still does not help, I think that everyone thinks about their profit, now it is very difficult to invest in cryptocurrency. I think we are all waiting for better times and scammers and normal projects.
Of course, 95 percent of projects will not survive for 1-2 years. But there are projects that will survive. It is these projects that will show us the cherished X's. Therefore, our task is to find such projects and invest in them.

I will agree with you, that market situation can't last forever, and when the market will rise we will get our earnings and profit from bounty campaigns.

I would like to keep the optimism alive as well.
Most of the ICOs are really affected by the bearish market in which most of them failed to fullfil their promises to the investors like always extending the date, no volume in the market, lock tokens, no earnings and many more which is not good in crypto environment that will just make the investors to leave crypto in fear. I'm still in confused if i will quit ICOs or not.
You are right, well after developing a ICO their Intention is only to reach the soft cap else the project will fail. So this situation may turn out to be a worst of all time, but we can use this opportunity even by investing in this. Don't hurry in taking decisions stay calm and think about it.

The markets have really played a huge one on us, but that doesn't mean we should fold up and decide to give up. There are still great ICOs out there and that are also doing well despite the downtrend of the market. MFChain is one such projects, they currently have their ICO and already reached soft cap a long while back.

I totally agree with you, however, the current market had made investors believe that investing in ICO is not a good idea. A lot of investors had kept away from ICO, that is why some opted to wait for it to get listed and buy it cheaper in the market.
all ICOs are scams because none of them have delivered anything at all. they only received the money and went away and stopped doing any additional work. that is the definition of a scam. it has nothing to do with price of bitcoin! you are trying so hard to justify things that are not justifiable. the fact is IPO has always been a terrible idea and will always be that way and it opens up room for scamming people. ICO is a worse version of IPO which is even more scammy.
I don't quite agree with you on the part that all ICOs are scams. I share your frustration that currently there are so many scam projects that are spreading through the crpyto community but this should not cloud our eyes that there are equally great and legitimate projects out there. We just have to do a full research into projects that we invest into.

Of course the market is partly responsible as it limits the progress of a project, especially those handled by an underqualified team.

Alright, that's why we must put a lot of effort to choose which is the best ico based on ouor analyzation. There are some promising icos right now which one of them have been getting a lot of support from big project just like ripple foundation. not all icos are scam and ethereum has started from ico. a stand still. ICO is a tulip, very typical. In 2017 it created a miracle of cryptocurrency, but in 2018 it quickly depreciated. The future ICO may disappear, there are too many scams here. Anyone can commit fraud.
I haven't given up on them yet. Despite many scam ICOs emerging, I still believe that there are still projects that has great potential. One project I've been keeping an eye for now is NeuronChain. It gives me assurance because they have a working product already operative on mainnet.
ICO's are becoming a nightmare especially for beginners. Its just difficult to say, despite all the research whether a particular ICO will not turn out a scam.

As the performance of ICOs and reputation keeps on declining due to this bearish market condition then i believed many crypto users will give up and leave this investment by next year in dismay. Hopefully the market will bounce back soon so that people will not lose their hope in which i'm very sure that its starting to crumble now.
I agree with this. Some projects have great potential also. You just need to do your own deep research before you do some investing. Scam ICOs just take the opportunity to trick new investors into participating to their project so all must be always cautious.
Im doing all hard research and only invest on ICO that impress me in terms of team, concept, community support. Usually these paramaters should be in check if you're investing on ICO. I rarely invest on ICOs that lack the strength on this category especially the team's capabilities on finishing and developing the project.
I'm not giving up on the ICO's that I have participated especially if the devs are still active in the community telegram.
But for now, I am very, very picky as to which ICO I will participate in due to this market.

bear market has affected every areas of crypto.It is difficult for any project to strive in this bear market and that is why many dev and team are slowing down on their decision.We just need to hope,wait and not give up.
Some ICOs are actually doing great despite of sharp spikes in the market. We see good developments and future applications with ICOs. But still, since majority of ICOs are turning into scam, Lots of people are losing hope. But in my case, we should never stop turning our dreams into reality.
Well that's very true because the crypto market is down and so if team members are withdrawing funds for any further developments they would be using much more than they budgeted for and that can further jeorpadized the growth of the development of the project. I think team managers of the various project should communicate these reasons effectively to their communities to ensure that people don't start making claims that the project is scam.
