Hello everybody,

A few weeks ago, I've bought my first mining cards: 3x 6990.
I've had some problems setting everything up , and I couldn't find much info about these cards.
I've experimented a lot , and I've found the best settings right now. Smiley

1. Install the newest drivers from AMD , without CCC. Do nog install the 12.8 or 12.10 like other people say.
2. These cards use a lot of power. 1000W psu is good for 2 cards, and at least 1200W for 3 cards( If you undervolt ,I'll be handling this later).
3. Undervolt them ! Couldn't say this more! Right now I have a 2x 6990 and 1x 5870 setup. Without undervolting, the power usage was 1280 Watt. With undervolting, this went down to 888 Watt!

This are the settings: http://s29.postimg.org/6l2ph109j/1620434_10201452183003321_384559740_n.jpg Fan speed was adjusted in cgminer, this was 75 %.

Also the temperatures went down from 88° to 65° by undervolting. And there was only a loss from 40 kh/s per card: 940 -> 900 kh/s.

With these settings, everything stays under 70 degrees, a low power usage and it is incredibly stable (hasn't failed 1 time).

I hope I've helped some people out here Smiley
