I think that your temperatures especially on second card are very high and you have to put them down. You risk to burn your card with these temperatures.
Go with fans at 100% or undervolt a little for lower temperatures.

thank you. i couldnt fix gpu 3 and gpu4 temperature problem

i tried your setup advice today

now it lowered to 79. (it was about 87-88)

but surely my khs lowered to 1270khs

130khs wont kill me i think huh

memory-950,becouse on 1010 one of my cores give me Display driver failure. If your memory is OK leave it at 1010mh.
Voltage:1.05
As i know thread-concurrency for 5 series should be:5970 card: 4096-8192 (5632 or 8000 are common) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/consolidated-litecoin-mining-guide-for-5xxx-6xxx-and-7xxx-gpus-117221
With these settings you shoukd force fans at 100% becouse you will get high temperatures.
You may try to undervolt your cards with 760/1010/1v or 680/1010/0.95 or 600/1010/0.9v for lower temperatures, but your hashrate will low too.
With these price you have to overclock your cards. If the price go down you have to undervolt(also in the summer).
My cores are at 808 becouse cards are stable. If i go at 820 one card is ok but second crashing some time after mining. You may test your cards for stabilityand if they are stable at 820-830 with good temperatures leave it that way.If they are not stable just put down some MH-s from cores.

thanks for everything u really helped much.

actually in this way, we should make our own setup with some little tryings right?

for example your setup freezed me because its for your rig.

i did some tries so it is like that now and seems stable about last 1 hour

when i lowered fan to %70 ups stopped alarming also.

With these settings that i posted power draw from the wall is 665w with Corsair AX1200.
In the past i was haved 4x5970 on this power supply without problem.
I don't know why your UPS screaming.
My cores on the cards in the moment is 808mh.
Anyway 1500kh is perfect for your configuration.

i downgrade core clock to 808 as your setup.

im running two 5970s with one psu 750w i think this should be enought for two 5970s?

i lowered fan to %70 and ups stopped alarming.

one last question.

what is your memory clock and voltage?

GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
cgminer.exe --scrypt ***** -I 18 --thread-concurrency 12000 -T

but my 1500v ups is started alarming... two of 5970s are alarming my 1500v ups! lol

You may clock your core to 800-820 and force your fan to 100%
With these settings i get about 380kh on core,or 760kh on card.
With 2x5970 cards i get 1520kh in this moment.
If you change thermal pads and paste you will get little lower temperatures for sure.

sorry for asking. what commands u use on .bat file?

i turned core clock to 820 but its now about 1255khs.

heh. It's been 2 years since I did any GPU mining Smiley

I would say your memory clock is too high but I'm not sure if scrypt mining needs this. I know for bitcoin I used to downclock the memory to 300 and save some temp.

Get your fan on 100% Smiley Maybe you'll need 1-2 fans on the cards to keep them cool. You could try taking the coolers off them and applying new pads/thermal paste as these cards are quite old and the pads/paste might need replacing.

85 degrees though doesn't sound that bad for that generation of card

boot into safe mode with the 5970. remove all traces of the AMD drivers through add/remove programs (you can also use drivercleanerpro to be 100% sure). Then re-install your drivers

Your 5970 is probably fine, just driver issues Smiley

omg u r great i did it and working like a charm now!

but 5970s are still getting 85c... too im worry about if cards get burned.

two 5970s get 1380khs

bat file is
--intensity 18

voltage 1050
core clock 735
memory clock 1010
fan speed %84

where is i make mistake?

Hello.

I was mining with two of 5970s it was first day. but i saw that temperature too high.

i thought there are something with drivers etc. and i tried to delete drivers and amd app sdk while unistalling system freezed. and i should poweroff pc.

than i started pc while windows loading it gives blue screen. i tried manything, i installed drivers with onboard gpu and retried but it is same 5970 gives blue screen error while windows loading. i tried with 7950s it is okey.

what can i do? formatting windows? or my 5970s are broken?

thanks for help.
