That was a much closer game than I was expecting. I think Butler needed to shoot better than 5-18 from the field if they were going to win. Still, they had a shot to get the win. Looking like the Bulls might beat the Hawks (they’re up by 5 right now) and get matched up against the Heat. I think the Heat win that game and get the final playoff spot.

The 7th place is now ratified with 76ers... good game by MIA. The best game so far in this play-in phase.
It got too competitive like an elimination match, with a lot of back and forth in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

Nicolas Batum stepped up big time for the Sixers, he scored so many threes (6/10) denying the Heat from winning the game.

Those who had the under for this game were so unlucky. In the first half, the game started slow pushing the live total below 200 points, then the pace changed quickly in the second half because of that back-and-forth scoring.

Butler playing well so far. He’s definitely the star player so far leading the Heat to a 1 point lead at the end of the first. Embiid hasn’t done much yet on offense but Bam has been nonexistent on the offensive end so far so it seems like he’s focusing on defending Embiid. Miami is playing well but need to make more 3 pointers and open up the middle for Bam.

Embiid is really a challenge along with Maxey. Butler and adebayo on the other hand for sure are prepared for it. Embiid is quite not doing lately with his injuries and I still hope he'd be consistent at least to give it a good match.
Yeah, Embiid might not be at his best, but I think the Sixers will always be happy to have him even on a minute restriction because he's the type of player that can push his teammates to a higher level.

OP, I think Duncan Robinson will play, I can see his name in the props. If he won't then I guess my bet will be voided later on.
Good luck with your bets.
It's already confirmed he's playing, and good luck with your Robinson props. I have Maxey on my ticket and hope he can hit at least 31+ points/assists.

I took the 76ers.  While I agree that Miami has outperformed in the postseason, Jimmy Butler is 34 years old now.  He's at the end of his prime and for a player that is so athletic the dropoff will be intense.  I think we witnessed it a bit this season and I don't think he has enough left in the tank to carry a team in the playoffs.  Meanwhile, Joel Embiid is playing some of his best basketball, is in his prime, and is also well rested.  The key to this series in my opinion will be Bam Adebayo.  Will he be able to contain Embiid to under 30 points and also manage to get 20 a game?  That is what Miami will need in my opinion.  We'll see...

I made a bet for the Miami Heat here. Yeah, I will take the heavy underdog.
I trust Jimmy Buckets, he plays differently when it comes playoff time although this is just the play-in. I bet he wants that 7th spot and avoids the Boston Celtics. The Knicks might be on the easier path without Julius Rande who underwent surgery.

I am also making props for Jimmy and Bam Adebayo to dominate this game. I know the 76ers have Embiid now but we saw how Jimmy played so well against them in the past. It even made a trend about what he said against Harris. "Tobias f-c-ing Harris over me!?"

Playoffs Butler is different. 76ers indeed is a good team but Heat is becoming a stronger team since last conference. They have built their chemistry already and I guess if it is within this match up, I'd be going all in with Miami. They are expected to struggle against 76ers but we all know how capable Miami is, if they'd be putting extra effort in every ball posession. I think they'd be getting this match up and engage to quarters. Well yes anything could still happen but with experience in playoffs, they have a bigger potential to go through next round.
I think it's early to take the Heat, and it feels like the Sixers could easily cover that handicap if Embiid is back. Maybe it's just me favoring the Sixers higher than the rest because they're always making it in the playoffs while getting the higher seeds, and they only made it here after an unexpected injury from their main player.

The current handicap is now up to 5.5 and with Embiid in the lineup, the Heat's chances to get the seventh seed are abysmal.

I agree on both comment above for 76ers inevitably getting the 7th spot on the playoffs with Embiid coming back assuming that he will play same dominant as before when he was still healthy.

But, Playoffs Jimmy and Bam are something that we shouldn’t look down. They already done this before showing insane playoff performance even with the top teams on their conference. Since this is just a knock out round, I will choose the higher odds which is Heat since I’m not sure if Embiid is already properly tune up since he is just coming back.

With Embiid back the heat may as well just pack their bags and go home. Playoff Jimmy Butler can take the rest of the year off unless he shows up in the losers game. I don't see a scenario where Embiid doesn't dominate this whole game.

Two teams good enough to reach the Eastern Conference Finals meet in the first East play-in tournament game on Wednesday night as No. 8 seed Miami visits No. 7 Philadelphia, with the winner as the East’s No. 7 and opening the first round of the playoffs against No. 2 New York.

These teams split the four regular-season meetings, with the Heat winning the first two and the Sixers the last two. They met last on April 4 in Miami and Philly prevailed 109-105. Philadelphia ends the game on a 15-3 run. Tyrese Maxey led the way with 37 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists while aided by Embiid (29 points, four rebounds) and Kelly Oubre (18 points, eight rebounds) in the victory. Terry Rozier finished with 22 points, with Jimmy Butler adding 20 points and five assists for Miami in the losing effort.

The loser of this game will still get at least one more chance to advance, as it would host on Friday the winner of Wednesday’s later matchup between No. 10 Atlanta and No. 9 Chicago for the East’s No. 8 seed and the right to face NBA title favorite Boston in Round 1 of the playoffs. Either the Heat or Sixers could beat the No. 2 Knicks in the first round, but they aren’t beating the Celtics. That’s what makes winning so important.

Why bet on the Miami Heat?
Miami played in the East play-in tournament for the first time last season. It was the No. 7 seed and upset at home by No. 8 Atlanta but then beat Chicago to advance as the No. 8. The Heat would then get all the way to the NBA Finals before losing to Denver.

Miami has three injury concerns in guards Terry Rozier and Duncan Robinson and big man Kevin Love. The latter two both missed multiple games to close the regular season, and Love left Sunday’s finale against Toronto with a contusion. How important is Robinson? Miami was 11-0 this season when he scored at least 20 points. Due to injury and the like, Miami started 35 different lineups this season, the most during a single-season in team history. Additionally, 18 different players started at least one game this season, tying the second-most during a single-season in franchise history.
