Sysadmins in important positions the world over use Bitcoin, this is why it could never be made "illegal" to own/use, the world's largest hedge funds, governments, and contractors would lose too many of their best networking/infrastructure professionals.

We run your computer systems... Wink

Sysadmins are like the cult in fight club? DAM I should have been a sysadmin all us programmers do is get drunk and make funny commits on git Sad

That said, this sysadmin needs to probably consider moving his node to a cheap VPS instead. I (and I'm sure other sysadmins) did over a year and a half ago when it became obviously people were snooping out IPs on the network. Tongue

I know a lot of finance guys in london - a few of them trade in BTC, the concept of an anonymous currency with limited inflation potential seems to be quite appealing  Wink

Because it's a sysadmin Smiley.
Bad boy Cheesy

Yeah, he's making the quants look bad Smiley

Nah he'd be alright as long as it doesn't generate too much traffic.
This brings back memories  Embarrassed

According to the blockchain.info connection list, these chaps are running a bitcoin node...

They're a systemic macro hedge fund based in Cambridge... Anyone else aware of much direct hedge fund activity/interest in bitcoin?

This could, of course, just be a rogue sysadmin having fun with bitcoind...  Wink
