You're wrong:
If someone accidentally adds dots to your address when emailing you, you'll still get that email. For example, if your email is [email protected], you own all dotted versions of your address:

    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
Not knowing this is leet unworthy Tongue Please make another post Cheesy

To make it even better: [email protected] goes to [email protected] too.
Damn! New learning however got really confused. The support.google is helpful. Thanks

Going to delete another post after posting this reply  Tongue

Sorry iasenko for the misdirection. I had know idea about this . (dot) things. I used my common sense.

Hmm, i didn't knew you can use + in email names, well technically you can't but you get no error.
Okay, the "+" is a bit annoying, as many services reject it. I've used it for my accounts LoyceBot and LoyceMobile on Bitcointalk though.

Note that these special features only work on Gmail.

Yes.

t.e.s.t and test are two unique email addresses. So email will not hit another ones inbox like you are thinking.

No. people basically make variations when they create email accounts for spamming like:

123
132
321
312
213
231

t.e.s.t and test are two unique email addresses. So email will not hit another ones inbox like you are thinking.

PS: I am going to delete an old post to stay on leet   Tongue

Probably a bot: [email protected] is the same as [email protected] or [email protected].
By adding dots, they can generate thousands of combinations to register the same inbox.

That's a horrible email address (all the dots are really annoying).

I'm not sure what they'll actually do once they get an account on that site? They can't really do anything very beneficial for themselves by spamming.

I really don't understand why they try to get access.
-Seems like accounts are getting valuable like BitcoinTalk accounts here. People are trying to steal the credentials to sell later  Tongue

Activity has picked up a bit in that project

That's the latest spammer who has tried to join the Fit to Talk project. I really don't understand why they try to get access. It's so obvious that they are rubbish spammers, and I seem to get at least one every couple of days. What a stupid format for an email address, and using 'fbi' in the name.

If Helena from the fbi is a member here, then please use your Bitcon Talk member name, you can't join FtT if you don't identify yourself as a member here.

Activity has picked up a bit in that project, so anyone hoping to improve their English to help them to earn merits, should head on over there. The local language project for 5 merits is still active for example.
