anyone know how long it takes to get out of newb status?  i would utfs, but i need to juice my post count regardless, so - blah dumb new registrant policies.

how about some kind of intelligence test or something?  i get so tired of having to juice my rep on a new board......  you should be able to 'test out' of the newbie member status...  like in college.

going to answer my own question.  1 post and 4 hours.  post must be substantial, a couple of sentences at least.  I'm off to help someone!  Or offer my opinion somewhere Smiley.  But welcome!

And I agree - I live in a small one bedroom with my fiancee, who is really puzzled as to why i have to have a laptop sitting on our kitchen table running a BFL Single with the case off and the fan propped in a better cooling position, and two hubs full of block eruptors.  I'd love to start mining litecoin but honestly dont have the room to setup a full size computer, nor anywhere to run one.  I really want to set up a farm, but yeah - the noise of all of those gpus and fans and how terribly ugly they look - here is hoping to someone jumping on the alt currencies and builds some dedicated, modular, configurable hashing boxes....

Cheers, and welcome!

Hello, I'm new. Just built a new mining rig to mine some alt coins for fun. It sure is generating a lot of noise and heat in my room.  Smiley
