Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and the encouragement. Also, thank you for the warning of scammers. I'm very excited about this as I stated before. I took rahbaey's advice and looked into NXT. I set up an account: 5535027714012287393 (I hope I did it correctly). I have been reading a significant amoount about NXT. It seems to be very promising and a great alt concept.
I also finally set up my first DogeCoin wallet: D7HJ6xXE5Wo4Qd1QHPLZ1XPyaVh6ps3XRq This is the currency that got me interested in this world of virtual currency.

I am intrigued by the amount of interest generated by virtual currencies as of late. Seems very exciting and has proven to be a very "real" market for us. I am here to gain as much knowledge on cryptocurrencies and eventually share what I have learned with others. I'm more of a lurker whenever I'm new to a forum because I like to read more than talk until I have settled in.
Now you may ask:
"Do you have any experience?"
I would say:
"No sir, I have no experience, but I'm a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in."
