Welcome, interesting idea, anywhere we can get an update on progress

I will be putting up a temporary site soon. There, people will be able to subscribe to be notified when the store is up or for beta testing if it will be required.

I can private message you when the store is up. Or you can pm me your email and I will be able to add it to the database later. Also, you can always check up on www.bitsymphony.com every once in a while Smiley

Gonna send you a PM with my mixes and email. Hit me up if you like my stuff. might also think about putting up some sample packs in the Future. If you need staff for writing reviews about new releases I would definitely be interested too.
Another idea if you are advertising is giving a small revenue to the people that upload their stuff their when someone clicks onto an ad on the site of the publisher. This way people could have a little extra income even if the price for the tracks ain't too high.
Good luck already Smiley

First of all, welcome!
And that idea of yours sounds amazing!
If you ever need advertising placed on your site OR to advertise your site feel free to PM me!
Have fun in this forum!

Thank you all for the welcomes Smiley

I won't be placing any external ads on the store... Takes away from the experience. There will however be a featured section where artists can advertise their new releases

The store will probably need to be advertised though. What site do you run or where are you offering to place ads?

Hi & welcome
This sounds definitely interesting to me.
Can i upload my mixes to your site and sell them there?

Do you think you will make it to the same size as beatport one day?
How will your pricing look like? Do you offer flac and wav downloads?

And I am very interested in hearing your music Smiley

Once it's up, you certainly will be able to. It will have a quality screening process however. You will be able to upload, but the music will need to be approved before it can be put up on the store and sold. Quality over quantity Cheesy

For now you can just post a link or just private message it to me

One of the things I'm trying to do with this is to overhaul the whole digital wares business model. Instead of raising prices extremely high like what beatport is doing as a way to stay alive and deal with piracy, I want to lower the prices to where people won't want to fuss with looking for the music for free and just use one service to easily find music and buy it without second guessing if they should spend the money. So basically prices will be much lower.. but I think that artists will benefit much more from this. Unlike beatport, where they take a nice big fat cut for themselves, Bit Symphony will give most of it to the artists and keep a small %.

Yes lossless is a must for music lovers so def flac and other formats!

I am trying my best to create a system that will put the others to shame.. so we shall see! I am surprised beatport is still around with their business model and just the ugly and terribly built software

I wish I could post screenshots up, but I'm afraid it's too early to do that. Soon I am planning on putting up a preview site where people can subscribe to be notified when the store is operational.

Hello friends

My name is Yura (btw, I'm still shocked this name was still available lol) and as all of you here, have a great interest in bitcoins. I've been following them for a couple years now and finally decided to join the fun!

I'm a software developer and designer to anyone who cares Smiley (I assume there's quite a few programmers here?)

I started working on a big project involving bitcoins some time ago and have been hammering away at it while keeping it under wraps. I won't go too much into detail about it right now since this is just a newbie introduction section Smiley But I will say this for now: it's an online electronica music store (liquid dubstep, trance, drum & bass, house, etc). Besides users being able to purchase music not only with $, but with bitcoins, there are several other radical features.

So far, I've been in the functional and interface design stage for a bit over half a year now and recently bought the domain bitsymphony.com. Will soon begin with programmng and finding artists who will want to spearhead the new system.

I am very disappointed with stores such as iTunes and beatport. Imo they're ugly and not the easiest to use. I'm really trying to do my best work on this and focus on every detail. Even if this project doesn't take off as I would love it to and become the beatport killer i hope it will become, i'll still be proud of my creation Smiley

So again, greetings to you all and can't wait to start taking part in this forum!
