you could consider getting an s9 but only if you dont pay for electricity , else you wont ever really get profit out of it .(depending on the electricity costs ofcourse)
You should use that money and split your investment on different Altcoins like ETH/LTC/XMR/ ! and maybe take a glimpse at : Maid/GOLEM/XRP/BCN ...
anyway , good luck on your journey : )

how much does it cost? what's ROI?

More than $4000. ROI is impossible to predict as the mining rates change all the time because mining difficult.

Equipment costs + electricity costs make this business unprofitable for you as solo miner.

hi mate - to be honest nah - only way to make money is to invest nowadays - maybe the s9 can mine different coins apart from the big ones? You could make money that way if they become adopted.

Use the money that the s9 costs and hedge your cash around several coins - see what happens.

It's up to you at the end of the day - good luck Wink)

Agreed. I would take the money to buy the hardware and invest it in the market. Many more options and risk factor is based on your willingness to lose money. Good luck.
