Hello friends!

Currently I'm developing a simple website to monitor bitcoin and altcoin price.

I am very new in Bitcoin world (1 week to be honest) so my knowledge is very limited. I found Bitcoin is very interesting and I hope my little project could help many people out there. Please do mind that my website is just 2 days old so the features is really lacking right now  Grin

If you have any comments or idea for new features on my website, feel free to talk about it, I will do my best to keep improving it.

You can visit my website at http://www.coinprice.co/. Thanks and have a nice day!

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Great site. Looks like this is the perfect replacement from coinmarketcap. I am going to bookmark it.

I have a couple of questions.
1. Do you have any plans of creating an app as well?
2. Why are some 7 day charts green and other red? Any meaning about the color differences?
3.  I would love to see more ranks on price changes on top of 24H price change. Maybe we could have a customizable column where one can select price change rankings according to certain time intervals such as 2H, 6H, 12H, 1W, 1M, 3M, 6M etc

I look forward to your positive or negative comments.

My first glance at your website was very positive. It looks very nice.

I see that your website is made on the WordPress platform, but I was wondering if you used a ready-made template and plugins, or if you developed the website on your own?

I like the site, it's like coinmarketcap.

I would like to know more about how you did it, looks like pure API calls, I'm sure you are not running your own nodes for the Block Explorer. But it's fine. At least it does the job.

I have a request, It would be nice to add one column of the Altcoins price in bitcoin. That's something that Coinmarketcap doesn't have and would be a really useful tool.

Design is amazing,

If you want to stand out I would suggest making your own data model for predicting the price of these coins
if not all, at least for Bitcoin and similar important altcoins,

You can also use different data models from great ML models like the S2F model: https://stats.buybitcoinworldwide.com/stock-to-flow/

You would really stand out from the crowd if you could implement such factors:

Try to display the order book of cryptocurrencies from some major cryptocurrency exchanges.

Hell lot of work, but it will be worth it

I see that this project is from 2017 and I just checked it now since you said that it has a brand new face. Honestly it looks great but was it looks too much like the coinmarketcap? What's the difference between your monitoring website and the coinmarketcap? Probably add something that the coinmarketcap doesn't have? or probably change the design to something more unique and original?

Nice to see you decided to bump a thread from 2017 Smiley

I didn't see your website before redesign but currently it looks just like CMC. Overall picture is good, design is friendly and informative, website works fast. So in case you are not planning to make a unique project then you are doing a good job.

wow,a really nice instrument there,bookmarked
love the amount of currencies you monitor
if you could add a simple converter and/or price change for the last week or month
maybe even create a price widget for sites ,coindesk style
keep up the good work!

This guy have a great idea, you can use the API to return a small html page, with a method for the currencies, maybe one for the size. The actual design is really good, please keep us updated regarding the updates you plan to make, there are so much great things you could add, but try to keep it as simple as he is.

Nice website, but you don't have to repeat the API calls, your source accepts requests on javascript, so can you add support for other coins ? like displaying a list of coins ? or check boxes with coin names, with search ability, and then display the info boxes accordingly ? it would be nice a layout like that.

Woah man upon checking your site I'm amaze to see that there's a lot of coins out there. I thought it was just for bitcoin and for some popular coins. But you surely got a lot of it. I guess there's nothing I can say or suggest you nail it out already brother. Hmm, maybe having some decent smaller ad space will do the rest for you.

Personal Text Space Not For Sale
The loading time for your site is a little bit too long. I guess that is because it is my first time visiting and hence no cache is available at my local disk. Or maybe it is because your site fetch a lot of data from another service, hence increasing the loading time. Anyway, you should really consider increasing the speed of the site.

Your site unique-selling point is that your provide a chunk of price information for popular altcoins. This is very good one-page market rates for altcoin traders. I'd suggest you to have a sorting setting (highest rate, highest market cap, A-Z etc) or search functionality*.

*We can CTRL+F to look for a certain coin but it will be great if the site provide an in-house search system.

What are your datasources? Are you planing to provide charts?

I am still relying on 3rd party API

Great job! I like your website, it looks simple, but professional and your site name is easy to remember. For me is also important that site is mobile friendly.
Just few advices to you. If price of coin increased, I think that it should written in green symbols instead of blue.
And also, I don't is that possible or not, but if you can, please allow to users change position of coin. I think some users would like to see their favourite coins on the top of site, and coins which they are not interested in - on the bottom.

ah okay, thanks for your input. For bookmarking favourite coins, actually i had the same idea with you. I will try to implement it as soon as possible Smiley

Hello all, again thank you very much for the feedback! you guys are amazing  Grin

I've updated 24H price change and marketcap, more data will be coming at the end of the weeks.

I want to develop the historical graph and also the filter for altcoins for easy searching.

Cheers!

The site is designed simple and i think it will be hard to find the altcoin price which if any user wanted to find it, you could have done like what other exchanges are doing it like this you can show the latest price, todays high and low price . and percentage of changes positive or negative. as it will give more details about the coin and the user can get all details about the coin and the running situation of the coin.

In general the popular price trackers do a lot right, red/green flashes on price data changes, mini-charts, hyperlinks to more info etc. I like http://coincap.io/

Recs:

1. Add market caps. They are useful for at a glance guaging of unfamiliar tokens.
2. It should be possible to see easily how prices are calculated. E.g. Which exchange(s) data you are using, how recent data is and and what if any formulas/weighting etc. For example it would be great if hovering the mouse over an icon displayed for example "Latest price from Bitstamp @ 21:47". Few sites do this and it bugs me.

You could also try some more novel stuff - like display latest trends in google search activity for each token, maybe even rank them accordingly and see if there are any price correlations. I'm not aware of a dashboard such as this but i'd use one if there was one. https://www.coingecko.com/en has some stats along these lines (they track dev activity and - wierdly - bing results).

This is a really smooth site and I particularly love that it tracks major altcoin prices as well, whereas preev for example only does Bitcoin.  The only problem is that some website owners seem to think that simplicity and additional features are mutually exclusive, but you could do very well just running charts of these altcoins.  For example, you could make each name of a cryptocurrency a link which goes to charts, the developer of the coin and other potentially relevant information which newbies might want - anyone can read a graph.

If it becomes more popular you could make money by trying to get some smaller altcoin developers (which you know are legit) to pay to have their coin on your page, if that's your aim, but actually I think you're doing this out of genuine kindness especially considering the donation address isn't right in front of your face, which is great.

I really like the design, pretty good, simple and clean in the same time. If possible, you should add the ability to have better conversion (like 1.2 bitcoin to x USD) and also make it to different fiat currencies just like preev.com did.

thanks for your feedback  Grin

okay, i will take a look at preev and try to implement a simple converter
