It's only worth it if you want to do it "for fun". You'll never make $40 worth of bitcoins with those. And you can't use them for altcoins. Don't listen to anyone who tells you to mine PPC with them.
Actually I'm doing this for fun not for living
I'm curious about how these miners work. If I figure it out, I can build the most efficient for myself

well you can buy like 50 of them
but it is pointless for true.
Better to invest into some other mining device
I don't have budget to buy 50 for now
If you're interested in mining altcoins, you can consider mining for a multipool (like
https://www.multipool.us), which automatically switches to the most profitable coin to mine. That way, you will maximize the profitability of any mining equipment you choose to use.
Also, you can use Bitcoin ASIC miners to mine for lots of different altcoins (as long as they use the same algorithm as Bitcoin, which is SHA-256).
I'm currently using my 2 pc's gt 540m gpu's to mine fedoracoin, einseinium etc for fun. I'm not sure but most of altcoins that I'm mining are using scrypt algorithms so it's not working for me...
Thanks for all informations bros! I'm glad to be here
