Im a newbie and just starting out with bitcoins.  Well at least only been trading for about 3 months.  I am trying to find some information on "ripple".  I hope this isnt a foopah posting here.

Looking forward to all the info I can find.

Check out the "alternate cryptocurrency" forum and scan for ripple threads. Check out ripple.com/forum. There is a lot of love and a lot of hate for ripple around here.

Welcome, Ripple has no advantage, it is centralized. Ripple fanboys use https://ripple.com/forum/

Hi Beano! I've tried researching Ripple and I don't see any benefits as opposed to the existing coins.
If I understand the concept correctly the biggest advantage is quick transactions.
A lot of businesses that accept BTC use 0 confirmations and some altcoins work faster so I dont see the need for this.
Can anyone else chime in on what other advantages of Ripple would be?
