How can they provide a "backup" system that requires that still have access to everything??!? Huh That makes no sense. It is a custodial system, I find it very hard to believe that they cannot recover your account for you based on the access you currently have.

Yet another reason that users should everything they can to avoid custodial wallets with proprietary (and broken) recovery systems.

How did you end up using this wallet?

It seems the pro version of Aladdin wallet is never mentioned here on the forum.
According to them, the email is enough to change device or password.
Look at the image


So I think you didn't understand what support told you, they said if you lose access to either email or phone number you will also lose your account. It means without the phone number you can still able to recover your account with your email or without email you can still be able to recover your wallet with your phone number.

Why not follow the above suggestion under device change or you can directly go to this domain below

What happens if you use their "Device Change" link in their webpage?
It's only requiring email address, then some sort of "Voice Verification" as stated in their user manual: abbccoin.com/Aladdin_Pro_Wallet_Manual_English-v2.pdf (Pages 35-39)

Sorry, it is 8 words, yes you are right. I tried contacted their support, they told me If I lose either email or phone number, then I will also lose the account. I have the email but problem is I changed my phone number. Now I have few coins there in the wallet. Not sure how I will get my account back :/

Did you try reaching out to the Aladdin people thought their support email / twitter / Facebook?
Looking though their site it looks like they will have to do some back end things to get you access since it's custodial.

From the pictures, which may not be accurate it looks like the mnemonic phrase is 8 words not 8 sentences.
Did you try something creative like using the 8 words as the 1st word or something in 8 sentences?

I lost my phone, and bought a new phone with new number. But when I try to login Aladdin pro wallet, it asks email and phone verification, which I currently have only email.

But I do have passphrase/memoric  phrase which is 8 sentences
This is not a seed phrase supported by BIP39 or Electrum.

So now when I try to add account on Aladdin wallet and put my passphrase, the ADD button under isn't clickable. what could be the problem? Can anyone help me please.
What passphrase? I am not using the wallet but I think you mean password. Try to get access to your phone number for verification.

I still do not see a good reason why people should be using a custodial wallet, if you are able to access your coins, I will advice you to have full control over your coins by moving all the coins to a noncustododial wallet like Electrum is better and backup the seed phrase. Hardware wallet is recommended for bigger amount as it is more safe and secure.
