Would love to compare numbers with you, i have 2 x MSI Armor GTX 1080ti's currently running as we speak, i started mining with my gaming pc just to test the waters which is watercooled, ive been playing around with different miners and i cant seem to get the GTX1080ti to work on most miners, the GPU's come up as error because its apparently an issue with seeing the memory on the GPU, so the miner sees 0GB available and just runs into errors.. the only stable miner i have come across so far is NiceHash and its been going stable for 23hrs now since starting it.. I tweaked the numbers in Afterburner today to OC the cards and im getting 1337SOL/s on Equihash on NiceHash and 131MH/s on Lyra2REv2, which seems to be the top 2 so far out of the 11 listed to mine as most profitable.. My setup is running stable at 45c with the OC settings. I setup my buddies computer today who has the same MSI Armor 1080ti as me, but on air only and his rig was only pulling 570ish SOL/s @ 80c on Equihash and 60MH/s on Lyra2REv2...
Im told the Nvidia cards are best on Skein currently, but out of all the searching i have been doing, the writeup i did find to run it on a modified version of ccminer, i cant get it to mine, it just goes into errors....
That seems to be solid results and low temps!
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/os-nvoc-easy-to-use-linux-nvidia-mining-1854250 have you checked nvoc out? It is what I am planning to run my cards off of
I have not looked into that one, i am mining on my Personal Gaming Rig which is on Windows 10, i do want to get into Linux mining in the future on future builds.. because buying windows for each rig would get costly...
I did manage to get 2 other miners operating on the 1080ti's over on my post.. i posted up my results.. 1 is mining EXTREMELY effecient... because it consumes roughly 49% left power than the other 2 miners.. but its producing only 2/3rds the profit as the other 2... so there are some positives and negatives to it.. i was told if i was to adjust the settings of my cards to work better with the miner i could possibly gain the last 1/3rd of profit back and maybe be under 80% power consumption as the other 2 miners...
I finally got Skein mining going lastnight.. ran it for 14 hours, but the profits i was seeing were not really adding up to the hashpower the miner was telling me i was computing.. the differences were just to far.. something is going on between the miner and the mining pool.. i may try it on another pool to see if the results are consistent.. if the actual profits earned matched the profit calculator based on hashpower reported and power usage.. i should see WAY more earned coin profits... and it would be the BEST coin to mine by a long shot.. but i ran the numbers on 3 different sites based on the hashpower numbers i was reporting and all 3 sites say i should be earning at least twice the coin i was actually earning.. another member on here who is mining the same pool and coin stated today he has been seeing very similar earnings as i reported.. so either the hashpower is falsely reported on the miner or the calculators are wrong..
