Yes exactly I bought this off Satoshi

I am Satoshi and I released Bitcoin

In AI word this is called "hallucinations". I wonder why.
In human world it would be either "troll", either "you forgot to take your medicines".

Pick whichever suits you.

I was  planning to put in some effort and join the quiz-solving activity here, but when I clicked on the YouTube link and watched it, I was dissapointed as it looks like a begging video.

How do you explain these?

Of course you did.
You should tell the police get Satoshi recover that wallet for you or reimburse you. Maybe they buy your story.

I bought this off #Satoshi
Somebody fooled you by selling you garbage while namedropping Satoshi. What you posted in OP also has nothing to do with wallets or WIF keys. You just throw "5K" into the mix of some random non ASCII characters to make it look like it Wink

Is this a joke or is it actually delusion?

From my Dat file I have my old backup where the wif is present but in ascii it has 8 bitcoins on my address I bought them in 2012

Forum admin can not help you. It's your bitcoin, it's your responsibility to take care of it and keep it safely. It's not responsibility of admin.

Even you bought these 8 bitcoins with someone from the forum, admin can not help you too.

If you can not sign any Bitcoin message from private key of that address, you can not prove your ownership on these address and 8 bitcoins too.

These outflow transactions are to SatoshiDice, the first Bitcoin gambling site.

0. WIF looks like
These are static examples of WIF private keys. Do not use them.

Ky1BY5QkB6xb3iQQjJQmVcvqc6mkLBaZTW1xCWpf91aFGBh1kyQ7 (for a compressed public key on mainnet)
L1Rw26ZuhBqguYDSi77zAxyfHUZ2H1JAQunf3TEbxyfcBDjUvBse (for a compressed public key on mainnet)
5JKZUnxc5G8toCqErCQpHiUYff3t7GvBd2my4bf6odejtZAy7hG (for an uncompressed public key on mainnet)

I have the impression you misunderstood something.

1. This is not a proper way to post binary data
2. Be very careful on what actual data you are posting; no admin can help you if your private key ends up in wrong hands and quite small chance even police would help. Better watch your back.
3. You may want to tell more clearly what your problem is and let us try to find solutions. If, for example, you have a password protected wallet and you have some clue about its password, there are tools that can help you.

However, coming with some random useless data and some empty threatening will get you nowhere good. Maybe will get you to some private messages "willing to help" and actually trying to steal your coins, but nothing else. Get more constructive.

Why not go complain to Anas from Sri Lanka right away for help rather than bring it up here?
Also how can someone from this forum steal your wallet because you just posted only the address? This show your poor knowledge about Bitcoin which begs the question, how can someone with poor knowledge about Bitcoin own 8 Bitcoin legitimately? It's super suspicious and weird.

The WIF means "Wallet Import Format", and no wallet software imports it in the format you've presented. This is the correct format: https://learnmeabitcoin.com/technical/keys/private-key/wif/.

Did you perhaps bought this wallet instead? Don't be too shy to admit it, a lot of people in here come often, asking for helping them to recover "their" bitcoin, when in reality, it's just a fake wallet file they bought from a scammer, with nothing in it.

Hey, this is incomprehensible. You may want to edit and rewrite in human readable form to be able to get the help that you need.
Thank you.
