Wow that's shitty.

I've read a few threads where people posted links to the membership announcement thread. Never really figured someone would consider scamming that way.

Now can you assist in preventing others falling prey to this and post a Scam accusation about it.

Be sure to include as much information as you can like a TXID and the correspondences. Naming the member as well so they can be appropriately tagged, to prevent them "earning" more.

The cynic in me would really like to see the above done, because I'm not going to to lie I half expect this to become the next big merit beg. It's easy to feel sympathy for someone with a good story and maybe consider alleviating their loss by tossing them a merit.

Feel sorry for the OP but I guess even if you're a guest you can still view or search on how to upgrade your rank here in the forum and considering you have an account here it will be easy peasy to use the search button. It was your due diligence by the way to do that.

How the hell did you manage to get scammed on this? Did some random guy just ask if you wanted to buy Copper Membership and sent you a link? Blows my mind how little people will scam here for and how much time and effort they must waste on it. I mean, could this guy not be doing anything else to earn $12? I'm sure if he has the initiative to successful scam people in such a way he could use that same time and initiative to actually earn some money legitimately/productively. There was a guy here he who would spend all his time trying to scam people in the forum ad slot auctions and 99% of the time he was busted and the account(s) was ruined. However, every now and again he'd be successful and make off with a grand or two but it was once in a blue moon and was it really worth his time? The amount of time he must have spent on this would have added up and I often wondered was it even worth it? You could probably earn the same or more from a signature campaign but at least you're not ripping anyone off. I don't know whether some people just get off on the fact that they can make money for free by scamming but more often than not they could probably earn the same or even more by doing something of actual substance that also isn't total scumbag behaviour.

See on "more" or go to Buy a copper membership
If you already paid fees on the link I mentioned above then red how to enable copper membership option. Note: Before enabling the option, you should have 1 confirmation. If you paid on another place then that is scam and you can create a thread on scam accusation.

You don't seem to have any communications problems, so why not become an active member of the community, and progress through the ranks in the normal way. You will get more satisfaction from the peer recognition, and it will take you further in the community.

Your bad!!!

Always verify sites sent to you, considering your account is barely a month, you ought to do proper researches and read threads that pertain to what you're actually looking for.

Phshing sites, fake websites, scammers are everywhere in this network, and it's only wise you protect yourself from them
And you can always request assistance from a MOD,STAFF,HIGH RANKEE or even THEYMOS himself.

Follow the link sent by@franky to purchase the real cooper membership
Or try ranking up, which is far cheaper and more honorable to do

In love with Bitcoin!! 💓💕
Could you post the link given to you and also mention who sent it to you. That's certainly the first time I am hearing about scamming in the name of copper membership. Always trust forum team members or other reputed members for such links and the link given by Franky is the right one. I am pretty sure the guy giving you the scam link would himself be a newbie.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Someone on a previous thread sent me a link on how to do it...which turned out to be a scam. So, I got burned out of about $12. Hell of a way to make a living, but I'm not having luck finding where on this site it explains how to properly upgrade a membership.

Sorry about that. You just have to be very careful in this crypto platforms, there are so many scammers and hackers lurking around waiting for the slightest opportunity to take away your money. You have to be very vigilant with which ever link is shared to you. Cross check twice or even thrice.

Hello Group!

I'm trying to upgrade to a Copper membership so when I post I can include images, etc.

Someone on a previous thread sent me a link on how to do it...which turned out to be a scam. So, I got burned out of about $12. Hell of a way to make a living, but I'm not having luck finding where on this site it explains how to properly upgrade a membership.

If someone could direct me, it would be appreciated. (and anyone verifying would be appreciated as well so I don't get conned again!)  Smiley

thanks,
Chris
