Just writing some code
AFAICT, you can't sign messages using their new UI.

Thanks man. Now my question is how can I use the old one so that I can sign a message.

Thank again
You can't.

You can only sign messages with imported addresses. Not the addresses you created with the wallet. You have to extract your private keys and import them to other wallet and sign from there. Read this post if you want to know how to extract your private keys.

Also in case some users are going to jump in and say you can (again). Please check carefully. The addresses you have from the legacy (old) wallet are imported to the new wallet and that's why you can sign with them.
