Hi guys, I would love it if you could give me some guidance
Guidance for what?

as I've got an idea
What idea? are you joking right now? none can give you any guidance as you didn't even write a clue about what's your idea and how it works? you should not expect others to give you or create a guidance for you if you didn't even write your idea.
and I would like to pitch my idea to a few investors that would like to invest in a start-up. I've tried angelinvestmentnetwork but seems like you gotta pay for it any other alternatives?
So, did you think investor will be directly interested with your idea? Investors need to did various research as well to know the potential of your idea. If you have been doing some executions for your idea and that's fine but if you have not done anything about that and forget it.

I think that just the idea doesn't worth much... I think you need to show something to investors if you wish them to just take a peek! So before the talk with investors OP should do something, to start something at least for a showing! I guess OP needs some starting capital for that, he can work for a while, and to save for his project, he can turn to his closest as some members suggested, and probably that would be better to do it like that...  otherwise, if an idea is good and unique investors can hear him and just take it from him!

What are you specifically building? and in what niche?

There might be too many noises in the cryptocurrencies world, if you couldn't prove your idea is worth investing in or at least it has a foreseeable product/service, you might didn't get bat an eye at all. A few things I'd like to suggest is you can try to send a grant proposal on the ecosystem you are building in, see if the ecosystem within it has an offer about that. Another option is you also should try to pitch your ideas on platforms like Producthunt or Gitcoin grants.

You don't know if you came to the right place or not so better to just lay down some of the ideas here. You don't have to give it all, just a start up to make it look inviting to the investors. What if what you are looking for is already here and they will read that type of message only?
Try making an ANN thread in the Altcoin Section Announcements, maybe that will help a bit. Just be careful with scams.
You would need also need a team if you want this to work out. Someone good at marketing and another in the financial industry to manage the incoming money.

You need more information mate before you can invest into new projects wherein for you to find out if they're totally legitimate and of course if they can guarantee a good return after all. Because you know mostly new projects nowadays were good only at the start up but afterwards becomes so stagnant and suddenly turn into shitcoin. So be aware.! Make fundamental analysis and goto coinmarketcap instead when it comes choosing a good new projects because indeed that sites nowadays is very informative, i mean you can easily obtain more data and information such sites social media and some sort of data for analysing and etc.. Just don't rely in any recommendations mate i suggest. Wherein always make research as well because that's the most important way to prevent scam projects..

Start at your place. Share it with your friends, colleagues, or anyone close to you. Make funding from there.

Believe me, it's not easy to convince some investors without your idea having an already working framework.

Random investors don't like to put money easily with just pitching ideas to your investors. They didn't even know you.

Just because cryptos are so overhyped it doesn't mean that it's easy to find investors. Just like with any other business, it requires a lot of effort, connections and/or personal funds available. You should be able to prove that not only your idea is legit but that you're the one who can truly implement it or hire the right team for the task. Honestly, there are so many projects that it's hard not to drown in them and catch anyone's attention. You can try websites like KickICO, I think, if that's the kind of project you are interested in, but I don't think it's possible to find investors if you don't have any prototypes or if you are not already known for something. It's a tough field, and perhaps making your own website or at least a social network page with key information can be a good start. Good luck!

Watch the show "Dragon's Den".
See how the developers are pitching their companies and products there just to get an investment from the dragons. That's what I like with that show because it's going to give you the idea on how to pitch with those investors that you're targeting to fund your crypto project.
Just the idea and the style of pitching you're going to get there.

That was a gamble. It's not simply that you just have some idea and show it to investors then deal. You need to invest too so that investors will likely attract. You need to start working on that idea for your future investors to see the product in actuality. Not that 100% complete but at least an overview and not just on paper.

You can start by sharing some basic information about your project here: Project Development

The task for you is how to lure investors to your idea.

So you are still completely alone without a team and your project is still only an idea? If that is the case then i don't really know where to look for investors. I know about all those launchpads and incubators like DuckDao, Polkastarter, Poolz and others but there you are buying into the private or public sale most of the time, but what you need are seed investors. So you need to find an angel investor or you need to spend some money yourself to create a website, develop a whitepaper and a roadmap and you also need to create a pitchdeck that shows the idea behind your project and what it offers to the user and of course to the investors.

If you want to market your idea, you really will invest a few bucks in order for you to share it to public.
Its like Paid Advertisements on Facebook where you will pay a small amount in order to reach out people regarding to your idea.

Paying a small amount in order to pitch your idea isn't a bad thing because its part of the start-up business that you're doing. Well, you can create a thread in Marketplace section under altcoins and if some investors like your idea then they might invest into your project. Still, you can do paid advertisements to reach out more people. Its a small amount though compare to how much you will get if you will be successful on that idea that you have.

Depends on how much your capital to invest, if you have a lot like more than thousand bucks i would like to recommend to join IDO platform seedify.
There are a lot of good new projects launched there and most of the previous projects also granted a success in terms of price when it jumped into the market.
Or you are a whale angle investors you could contact the support one of the projects there to become their partner or any bussiness agreement could be done.

Nowdays most crypto project go the venture capital route. Unfortunately for venture capital you will need good connections. It's hard to get capital without that

What kind of guidance are you really asking for? If you want some free platforms to pitch your idea, you can always use the Altcoins Marketplace. Make sure it's presentable and well written because competition for new projects is already tough. Your content should be interesting at least.

So what's your idea? You should say about this when you have been at least creating your own platform. The investors will not buy the idea. Investors need something real rather than only an idea that is not yet become a reality. You must remember this. You should at least make a proposal or something like this.

I've tried angelinvestmentnetwork but seems like you gotta pay for it any other alternatives?
If you have a good idea and just try to do another work to make a website or something else that can make others understand what's your idea. If you're only saying you have a good idea and this is totally useless.
