It's not impossible to earn merit, if you did read the thread about the forum members that start from newbie with 0 merit to 100 merit. Search for it then read each forum members post that will help you along the way. You're lucky enough that jr. member required only 1 merit for you to rank jr. member, if you can't earn a single one then you're clearly a shitposter/doesn't want to contribute.

Hello admins,

As you can see my activity is more than 30, which is required for anyone to become a junior member. However, it has become newbie rank. I don’t understand why this has happened. Has the ranking system changed? do I need to appeal for my rank? What do I do?

Kindly, someone help me out with this query. I don’t know what to do.

Thanks.
Yes it changed. Here read it https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/enhanced-newbie-restrictions-requirements-5030366 it will help you to understand the new ranking system now.

Thank you very much for this. I didn’t know about this.

Yes, we have new rules on the forum, at least 1 merit to become junior member... So if it's hard for you to get 1 merit, will be impossible for you to become legendary in the long run.

Bring some quality posts and merits will come by themselves.

I think you don’t get that I became a junior member and then I became a newbie again. Why? I’ve never come across this happening to anyone.

The forum rules have changed, for you to become a Jr.Member you need at least 1 merit, if you were a Jr. Member before and you didn't have any merit you would be demoted to newbie regardless of your activity. And for you to get one merit you need to create helpful/good/quality post to earn at least 1 merit to rank up to Jr member and beyond.

There is a little less noise in the forum right now.
