Thanks everyone the problem is from the riser connector, it gets so lose as time goes on maybe slowly while mining cos there is little vibration from the GPU fan spinning and also power supply spinning since the rig is on a table, anyways I found a better one (from a friend) it sit better in the x1 pcie slot, I will wait and watch this for days

I agree with the comment that it might be slipping out of the slot. Some of these risers are very bad quality that I wouldn’t be surprised if the slot where the GPU sits is a little too wide and with the vibrations of the fans overtime it starts to slide off.

You can use the clip but it will slide off on the other end and can crash also. Hence you should just replace the riser entirely and be done with this issue.

Since you say if you take it out and put it back in it works it might be slipping out of the slot for some reason. It can happen on the riser with those cheap locks if they are not fully locked in or sometimes the locking mechanism breaks. but defiantly sounds like a riser problem.

As a crypto miner always have spare parts available, that issue of tours sounds like a faulty riser at work, find a spare one and do some testing, so far I've changed over 4 different risers since October last year and they look healthy to the eye

I have a GPU that disconnects every two to three days when mining and this is getting annoying, the GPU can work for days non stop and at a point it just disconnect and when I off the motherboard and on again it won't be detected until I remove the GPU from riser and reinsert back, why is this happening? The rig has only three cards on board

B250 mobo
1 650watt Power supply
1 Vega 56 and 2 1660 GPUs
Running hive OS
