Announcement: Batch 4 ANTMINER S2 Sales Open
www.bitmaintech.com

Shipping on May 8th, Official price $2,599 for global market. Sales open at 20:00pm BeiJing time Apr 29th GMT+8.
Coupon Rain Notice: $400 off coupons are available for all previous S1 & S2 orders.

Give Bitmain another 2 weeks or so,the price should drop another $500...........I am hoping it will, otherwise I'm out of BTC mining............all BTC ASICS as of now are overpriced & the diff is going to explode within the next 2 months,75PH isn't too far out,by summer from the looks of it Cry

It won't be long before us "mine at home" guys are done,by years end if things keep going the way they are, diff rising & BTC price dropping.........................

The Gridseeds I think will be my saving grace, with soooo many altcoins to mine & turn into BTC & at 7 watts per 360 mh/s,they just can't be beat  Grin

The antminer S1 won't ever make its 0.55 bitcoins back. And even though its dollar/ghash looks nice, it uses almost twice the power as the s2 does so over the long term you will be paying much higher electricity costs with multiple S1's

Does Bitmain AntMiner S2 batch 4 interest you?
Shipping on May 8th is pretty close.
The S2 looks great, but I'm not sure how great of a deal it is at the current price. I may wind up going with them though, we will see.

okay what are your power supplies?  how do you cool the gear off.

Right now I am using the Gold 850 power supplies. Cooling hasn't been much of a problem and I don't forsee it being one. We are in the process of setting up a temperature controlled room to run all of the units in. The ambient temperature should hold around 73 degrees. What I'm getting from you guys is that I can 1) throw some money at Ken and hope he doesn't eat it all.... 2) spend $7500+ on two of the Antminer S2, which is a possibility 3) work with 10 S1 units.
These all seem like pretty good options, but man you really can't beat those S1 units can you? Maybe I will just go with that. They are just so much cheaper. Even with the 28nm chip clocking where it is, the cost is just too high to justify. I'm pretty stoked to see what pepperminer does with the Habanero though.

Does anyone have an opinion on the difficulty of assembling your own ASIC blade using the Hash Fast chips? I'm pretty confident that my buddies and I can figure it out, but I am curious to know about any barriers to entry. I heard that HF is pretty lame on the customer service end too though.

Aren't you the dude (OP)with the Ants in the kitchen with the million cooling fans and cooling meters?   Shocked

Hope you have cheap electricity where you live and a cool basement, garage, or storage shed that you put this 2 TH/s of  space heaters.

That's me  Grin. Our electricity is pretty great at $0.09 per kWh... at least I think that's great haha. It has made the profitability calculations work out quite nicely.
But yeah thanks for the ideas guys!

Hey everyone, I am building a mining farm at the moment and would love some input from the community. I already have 2 Antminer S1 units set up and working, but I would really like to expand. The difficulty here is finding a reliable vendor. Is there anyone out there who is just a 100% stellar ASIC vendor that ships out in-stock units right away? I would really love to get 6 of the new 28nm Fasthash One Gold Rush cards from the VMC site, but they just have such an awful reputation. I would buy some of the Habanero units from pepperminer, but it doesn't look like they have finalized for production yet. If I can get some help from the community on this then I will make a really detailed post going over my setup and installation. Thanks guys!
