1500W will be ok with undervolting and moderate overclocking. Thats what you should do anyway, to make it more cost effective.

I would undervolt and probably overclock...

Don't really know if the 1500W one may be little too weak, but I also can't find anything like add2psu here in Europe.. Don't know what to do now Sad

I got 5 7970s on it. Whole setup pulls 1450W at the wall. So I think 6 7950 should be possible.
But you will max out the PSU. And shouldn't try overvolting or heavy overclocking without monitoring with a power meter, otherwise you might burn the PSU out.

Excellent choice.  Got two of those. Go for it.

Do you think 1500W are enough for this setup?

I don't, my 7950's run at 275ish... I have 1500W on 5 cards and the mobo.

Hello everyone,

I pretty much have everything together for my setup, except the PSU!

6 * 7950
on
MSI Z77A-GD-65

Delivery of the LEPA G1600 got cancelled today with no chance of getting this PSU anytime soon, so now I don't really know which PSU I should get. The only condition is to cost about 300€ max.

I was thinking about this one:

Platimax 1500W EPM1500EGT ~ 295€
http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=1&lv1=52&no=191

What do you think about this? Any tips from someone with more experience?

Best regards :-)

My advice, is to get two 750+ and daisy chain them together.  Less ideal yes, but might make your shipment and price requirements.
