I am expecting a V100 to be provisioned for me around next week for 30 days which I don't have much else use for so PM me the hash and I'll give this a try once I get a hold of it.

Was going to use it to try to crack my forgotten MacOS VM's password but I ended up just reinstalling it instead. It's a shame, because I had a good idea that it used mostly lowercase letters but it's too long to brute-force 12+ characters  Grin

But yeah definitely contact Dave as well, he probably has more powerful hardware than I do  Undecided

Why don't you rent a GPU rig and do it yourself? In this way, you can freely and without any obstacle try your password combinations that you are likely sure about them without giving the wallet file to anyone. I don't know the password length, but obviously, the GPU rig is superior than CPU rig.

... I'm looking for a guy, who had a lot of experience in passwords generation.
Then you want to talk to Dave @ walletrecoveryservices.com

The OG wallet cracking service... they have been around for years and are well regarded/trusted on these boards. I'd suggest you get in contact with them and discuss your situation.

I know that its extremly unsafe for you.
But, at least you will have ooportunity to make money.
I am sure that if I give the whole file, I will not have this opportunity.

Have you tried btcrecover with GPU acceleration which significantly increase brute-force speed?
Yes, i also tried to use hashcat.
But i'm pretty new in password bruteforcing. I'm looking for a guy, who had a lot of experience in passwords generation.

I will not offer any files. I give you extracted hash with bitcoin2john
I've already tried my best with btcrecover, but nothing helps.
I was able to remember only 3 passwords that I used in those days. Maybe I made a missclick when setting up a password in bitcoin-core. I don't know.

This piece of software will help you to brute force your password: https://github.com/3rdIteration/btcrecover

Read their guide on how to use it to recover a password here: https://github.com/3rdIteration/btcrecover/blob/master/docs/TUTORIAL.md#btcrecover-tutorial

In general, it will be much safer to attempt this yourself than to hand over your wallet.dat and potential passwords to a complete stranger.

Nobody is going to accept or download files from newbie users which can be infected by malware. If you need help, I suggest that should be done in public. I would suggest you the same thing. Don't send personal files, recovery phrases, or private keys to someone over PM who offers to help. For everyone's safety, things like this should be done in public.

What kind of dictionary are you talking about? How many entries are there and why don't you try these combinations yourself?
