Iif the shorter key starts with "s", then this is your private key. You can use it e.g. with https://github.com/jatchili/minimalist-ripple-client to do basic transactions. The longer string is likely your encrypted blob from the blobstore, similar to a "wallet" that contains not only your private key but also e.g. the names you specified for some addresses, favourites etc. It can also be decrypted, but this might be a bit more difficult.

Congratulations! the whole ripple idea has had me confused for a while. Just starting to get the idea. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it but anyways congrats

Yay so managed to get $500 free money out of that Ripple forum give-away...good deal.

So I did the Ripple give-away thread and got given 35000XRP.

I then logged into Bitstamp and tried to deposit the XRP, and the XRPs left my ripple wallet.

However Bitstamp then immediately returned the XRP to me and (in a support ticket) said that I couldn't have a ripple balance.

After a bit of blog reading I then added the Bitstamp address to my ripple wallet under the Advanced -> Trade tab, and saw an order book.

I created a trade with my XRP =~ 470USD and then trade went through.

I also created a trade for some BTC.

My Ripple wallet now says I have 470USD, and .2BTC, but my bitstamp account is still empty?

How do I get my USD and Bitcoins out?
