Topic: Help me with some feedback on logos ... (Read 985 times)
Thank you everyone who voted. We have decided on the finalists and are working with those artists now. Final logo should be completed by the end of the week.
The interesting thing about that one is people either like it, or hate it and are vocal about it. Not sure why that is the case.
I didn't like that one as much, it looks more like the Beats logo, than something Bitcoin related.
I really liked 633, but I might be the only one
I like the concept of #408 but there is something "off" about it
I know, it's the left edge of the B, and the long tails of the S
I like 684/408 because it is interesting and memorable, not something boring you will forget next minute

I do as well. Honestly I like them all. The one bad thing about a design contest is it is really draining to go through hundreds of revisions. The only thing that hold me back from this one is it is somewhat "generic". Cover up BitSimple and the logo could be for a shoe company, or waste management. The icon alone doesn't tie in to the business.

Or maybe everyone else just has a bad eye. I like the concept of #408 but there is something "off" about it. I am no artist so I can't explain it but I think it might be the aspect/angle is wrong. It is a shame because I really like the concept of the B (possibly modified to be the Bitcoin symbol) and the $ and the arrows produced by that combination which imply exchange or the circular nature of our business.

it's not so much the logo needs revising, it's the name. voted.
As in the actual name of the site/service or the formatting of the name in the design concepts?

Ugh, as a designer myself I cannot support spec work...
I can certainly support that. We did opt to use guaranteed payment in the terms so we are unable to walk away and leave the artists with no compensation.

BitSimple's "logo"? Yeah that was done by me (an enterprise backend developer who gets confused with paint) as a way of getting up and running quickly. It served its purpose but I don't want to make any more artists cry, so it is high time to get something a "little" better. Help us give these talented designers some feedback by picking your favorite in this poll.
I promise it only takes a few second. I am sure the designers would love to hear any specific feedback and we can share the results with the designer so be honest they are big kids.
