connect display to port on MB!

The motherboard I'm using (http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4658#ov) doesn't have an onboard graphics card.

shit, miss that part.

plug one card without riser and try again.

did you try to disconnect the CMOS battery from the board.
had some troubles before and that helped me.
in rare cases BIOS appears to have gotten corrupted during BIOS updating.
hope is not that problem on your MB.

I just tried all of that. I plugged the card  directly into every port on the motherboard without a riser. I remove the cmos battery and tried that. Neither worked.

If it helps any  I get error codes A6 or 0d each time.

So I'm building a new rig, and having trouble getting into the BIOS to configure things (auto power on, boot from USB, etc.). I'm using one of the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7's as my motherboard, and a few 290Xs from Sapphire.

I have one card plugged into the motherboard through a 16x16 riser, and I can't get it to show anything over HDMI. Am I missing something?
