the gold coins were made available to the public in sept 2011

So the gold is the very first gold btc coin...same year bitbills and Casascius came out as well.

The silver is the first 1oz btc coin.

      Part of btc history.

Absolutely, those will need to be in the museum, very nice Krog Cool Cool

hey guys Smiley

i did indeed have both the silver coin and gold coin created, and worked with separate mints to do so. the gold ones are indeed hand poured.

i do think it is the first 1 oz silver coin, and perhaps the first gold coin, to have the bitcoin logo minted on it.

Could you possibly provide better pics of the gold coins as well as date made? Will add to my thread.

The gold coins were 0.5 grams and hand minted/stamped and sold for $37.95

The 1oz silvers sold for $42.95 at the time of release.

So the silver was the very first! Good to know. How many were minted? I wonder.

Also the godl...would be nice to know if thats the first as well. How many issued etc etc.

Will reach out to Gabecoin on this...get his input.

First 1 oz silver coin. The 1g coins made by MJB were before those.  You need to have a chick take a pic of that gold coin, they are all good at taking pics lol.

Probably right..lol. My phone camera cant seem to focus on something so small.

You can find the silver My Bitcoin Mint made by Gabecoin in my timeline here- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52116521

I have never seen the gold coin. Can you get a better pic of the back side?

Edit: You need a better version of the My Bitcoin Mint coin! lol. Hit up Lesbiancow for that.

Yeah..i tried many times with camera...too small to get a real good image. Thanks for the feedback.

As you can see its sooo small...pic next to normal size coin. And it looks like it was hand striked as well.

Would love to see a thread on this as well.

Will ask Gabecoin for his input then.

Help needed to identify coin maker of these coins,, their timeline in the physical Bitcoin history.

Ok guys...just acquired these two coins. One in 1oz silver and the other 1/2 gram gold.

Was told they were the first silver and gold physicals Bitcoin coins to ever be made. Probably in 2011.

Need your guys opinion input on these as well as identifying the coin maker.

  Thankyou.
