Hello Guys,

I have built 2 RIGS with 4 RX 570 each and I am quite happy about them.

I tried  to run them using Windows 7 64 bit edition but I was having poor hashrate so I switch to SMOS and I love the way it work !!!

My only issue so far is that I can't make them work with more than 4 GPUS (both motherboards have a "mining option in the bios and are supposed to work with up to 6 cards )

First RIG use an MSI 270-A PRO motherboard (I read that many people were having trouble so I bought another motherboard with another chipset to set my second RIG)

Second RIG use a Gigabyte H110-D3A

Both Rigs have Celerons, 4 Go Crucial Balistix Memory and a 16 Go USB Stick to run SMOS.

My problem is as follow :

When I enable 4 G decoding, then my USB stick doesn't show as a booting device, so I can't boot SMOS, the MSI show me a black screen, the Gigabyte open directly the Bios in the booting section and show no device to boot.

I have read that it has to do with SMOS not being a UEFI disk but...there seems to be no way to make SMOS a UEFI drive

Does someone had a similar issue with it ?

I have already tried several things

1) Using Integrated graphics

2) Change the Gen to Gen 2

3) Enable Legacy boot

4) Update BIOS

5) Switch risers and video cards

6) I have read quite a lot using différents forums but no answer has helped me fixe this problem

I would be very gratefull if someone could find a minute to answer and possibly find a solution to my problem

Regards
Jean

I remember seeing this, change your boot to Legacy and not UEFI.
