You could always download the latest version of PS and use a free trial or find a cracked version somewhere.

my Photoshop version seems to be so outdated, I am not able to edit the text layers of a simple PSD file - either that or I am just too stupid - could be one or another.
Can anyone help me and tell me if the problem is the file when I send it to him?

Are you paying something or you want it to be done for free?
Can you tell me more? Like you just want to edit the text on the PSD file maybe I can do it for free (when I get back to my computer). If you are paying then you should find someone with skills I just use it for basics so I may not be of much help.
