When things like this happen the first step is to verify the transaction in the blockchain, that way you will know if the problem was the transaction or the wallet. If the transactions were broadcasted on the network then you will be sure the problem is the wallet. As Bob said, update the wallet should fix the problem, another thing you can do is import your private keys to another wallet like blockchain and have access to your founds until you fix your electrum wallet.

You may have that problem just cuz you`re using not secure resources. I can suggest you to use bitcoin mixer for transfers and mixing various bitcoins. It`s secure and anonymous.

hmmm  Roll Eyes

bob123 was completely correct, NeuroticFish was mostly correct (unconfirmed transactions should show up in electrum's history)... But Bitexpert11's sollution shows that he's not a Bit expert (pun intended).

I've never heared about the mixer that's being linked to (this doesn't mean anything, exept that it might not be a popular mixer), but more important: using a mixer has nothing to do with transactions not showing up in your wallet's history. As a matter of fact, using a mixer is just adding an extra variable in the mix. A mixer is usefull if you want to break the link between the senders and your wallet...

To repeat the previous posters:
  • Verify if the transaction exist on a block explorer and is funding the address you entered while withdrawing
  • Double check if the address is correct
  • Change the electrum server by clicking the button in the right bottom corner
  • Make sure you have an official electrum version (check the signature of ThomasV)
  • Make sure you have the latest electrum version
  • Make sure a local firewall isn't blocking you (either a firewall on your pc, or on your own network)
  • Restart your wallet and reboot your pc

If nothing else works, but you are sure your address is correct, and a funding tx exists, you can always download a clean electrum copy on a new device that's on a different network, and restore your wallet from seed...

my history balance was not increased.  What do I do now?

First of all try to look at the transaction on a block explorer. You get the tx id and paste it at https://www.blockchain.com/explorer
Then you can look at the confirmations. I think that if there are no confirmations at all, Electrum doesn't increase the amount. If there are no confirmations, then there's a different type of issue we have to handle (ask for re-send, CPFP, ...).

Another possible thing would be that your Electrum is not connected or you don't own the receiving address (see the ismine and red circle parts in the previous post).

I need help.  I had a bitcoin transaction sent to my Electrum wallet.  The address and ammount sent have been verified, but the funds are not showing up in my  Electrum history, or I am just not seeing them there.  It appears that a transaction did take place on 10/15/2018 but it's as if no BTC were deposited instead of the 0.9090100 that was sent and my history balance was not increased.  What do I do now?

What version of electrum are you using ? If you are not using 3.2.3, update it: https://electrum.org/#download.

Did you check the transaction on a block explorer (e.g. blockcypher or blockchain.com) ?
If the explorer shows that the transaction has been confirmed AND the receiving address is correct, then you have successfully received the transaction.

You can verify (if you are not 100% sure) whether your wallet holds the address by either looking in the address-tab or entering the following command into the console (View -> Show Console -> Console tab):

Code:
ismine("1YourAddress")

If it returns true AND the block explorer shows a confirmed transaction, it's just a display/network issue (maybe old version, do you have a green or red circle at the bottom right corner of electrum?).
