thank you all for your support

i found the solutions and it was as expected due to PCIe slots.
finally i was able to force all slots to work on GEN2 (by editing windows register)

Nice. May you need to write it here, how you were editing Windows registry to make it work! It can help another member that has a similar problem.

Try to re-install the windows and be careful at bios settings . Also I recommend you to download ethos . It's a new operating system for miners and is easy to setup. If is still sucks download ubuntu and install all the drivers you need . Should be work

Have you to turn off your antivirus. expecially AMD driver, it's ever happen to me. what the solution are : disable antivirus reinstall gpu driver and make exclusion at the GPU diver folder (if use AMD).
So for the conclusion, it happened to the vga driver.
But if you use Nvidia GPU, i don't know. Because i can not ever buy it Sad

Have you tried not plugging into the main slot? I.e. Only plug cards into the slots that show up as Gen 2

Have you increase the page file (virtual memory)?, that was basic, but that's important on mining process. (in case you forgot it)

Hi,
i'm unable to make a new mining Rig work properly, i will appreciate your help to find out the solution Smiley

First of all here is my RIG configuration :

-   Pentium g4400
-   6 Nvidia GTX 1060  6Go (4 Palit + 2 asus)
-   8 go RAM DDR 4
-   MSI Z270-a pro motherboard
-   2 psu (900 + 1200) «Bronze Certified»
-   Windows 10 64 bits (installed in uefi mode)
-   SSD 120 Go
-   I’m not using any overclock setting
I Tested my ( Psu + riser + graphic cards ) on other motherboard (asus z170 pro + i7 6700k + 16 go RAM) and they work without issues.

Problem :

Everytime i run the miner i get errors like :
-   Windows freeze
-   Blue screen
-   Miner crash
-   Unstable hashrate (only 1 or 2 cards gives normal hashrate and others less than 50% )

What i did to solve the problem :

-   Tested different algo and different miners
-   Configured the bios with the recommended setting for mining (PCI latency timer = 96 ; above 4g decoding = enabled ; PEG 0 max link speed set to Gen2)
-   Installed different version of windows 10 (1703, 1709 …)
-   Installed different version of nvidia drivers (clean install everytime)
-   Flashed the bios with the last version
-   Activated and deactivated the integrated garphic cards

But everytime i got the same errors and i get a blue screen or my desktop freeze !!

What i think is the source of the problem ? :

After installing HWinfo and DPC latency checker and tracking the cpu usage in task manager i think  i found the problem :

When i run the miner the process « system interrupts » overload my cpu (up to 99%)
The latency is very high what causes the system (or the miner) to crash

When i put graphic cards one by one i got same issues except if i put it in the first PCIe slot !

I verified with Hwinfo and i found that only the first PCIe slot is set to gen 2 and all the others reamain alaways on gen 3 !!

I remake the bios setting, tried to set pci  to gen 1 or gen 2 but only the first pci is changed and all other remain on gen 3 whatever i did !! (driving me crazy)

So i think that my problem may be solved if i found how can i switch all PCIe to gen 2

I’m open to other suggestions too 😉

I hope i found a superhero that can help me to solve this problem and save my Ass !!
