1080 ti is higher hashrate, but it's best EFFICIENCY does not match the 1070 ti best efficiency.
It's fairly close though, and some folks prefer the rig density of the 1080 ti.

ALL of my last GPU purchases though have been 1070 ti cards (except for one VEGA) - though I might get one more 1080 ti at some point to fill out one rig I have specifically configured for those cards.

so better just to go 1080 ti and not mess with the 1070s and 1070ti's?

None of these cards match 1080 ti performance, or even CLOSE.

Of the 3 listed, the 1070 ti will offer the highest performance on MOST algorithms (Ethhash it's going to be the SAME as the 1070 SC or FTW, but ETH is a very poor option for most NVidia cards).

Power usage on the 1070 SC will probably be the lowest, UNLESS you mine for "best efficiency" in which case all 3 cards will probably be using about the same power (depends on the algorithm though).

There is also the question of "hash/watt", that has been badly thrown out of kilter in the last 24 hours with the HUGE price rise on AMD cards starting to drive 1070 models back into 1070 ti pricing.

Which would you guys recommend? From what I can tell the 1070 sc black draws the least power and performance is the same as the 1080 ti. Am I reading this right? thanks for the help.
