Electrum is a very good choice. It is lightweight and a desktop application so you are controlling your Bitcoin.

This is why you should a) research the wallet you are going to use and b) don't use a web wallet.
To expand on this @OP: Even though I'm not a fan of SPV wallets, they're definitely much better than using a Web one. You can start by using Electrum. FYI: You don't need to download the whole blockchain with SPV wallets.
Thanks for being helpful everyone. Good thing it was only a small amount I had sent. Should have really realized this was no good to begin with as I am not a newbie when it comes to proving the legitimacy of websites. Didn't find out about this website "bitcointalk" until the damage was done. Will definitely come here for future reference on this sort of thing. Again thanks to all who replied.

In the future you should investigate companies before sending them money. Even a cursory Google search would have revealed its nature. The site itself also contained many red flags.

Thanks for the help and strong lesson learned. Guess I should have been patient and waited for blockchain to come back up. Also should have done the proper research. Hope no one else falls victim to this kind of thing. Still kind of new to the whole bitcoin thing, so this should open my eyes up alot.

Yes, I'm pretty sure I got scammed upon doing further research, but I am still not 100% sure. This kind of bums me out considering it was the top result on google for bitcoin e-wallets.

Please provide us with a link to this wallet. This is likely a scam wallet being advertised on Google IIRC.
Hello. I sent about 30$ in bitcoins to an e-wallet called "BestWalletBTC." I normally use Blockchain but it has been down today so i created a new e-wallet on a new site.
My transaction was completed on coinbase with 5 confirmations. My e-wallet "bestwalletbtc" has not recieved the coins. Can anyone help me figure out this problem? I would be happy with my coins being returned to coinbase. I tried contacting support on bestwalletbtc but no response.
