Once a man, twice a child!
It aims to make unsuspecting users deposit into their website and make it seem like it is working...

It would help if you were vigilant with things like these.
Yeah, most people don't like making research a major thing and be strict about it before investing. They do the research after they've invested in a so to say, putting the cart before the horse, manner of approach. It wouldn't take anyone more than 30 minutes going through that site to discover it's a scam site. Laziness is the bane of many investors, truly. Like I noted in my previous comment, the wife didn't act in good faith also not letting OP know she was investing in something so that both of them would've looked at it together. Two heads are better than one. Couples shouldn't be keeping investment secrets.

I'm sorry, but upon checking the site and the figures presented by the other members here, it's a scam site. It aims to make unsuspecting users deposit into their website and make it seem like it is working.

It would help if you were vigilant with things like these. Have you asked your wife how her girlfriends manage to know the site? Because if they know, it was a scam or something, it's better to cut off ties with them or maybe ask if they have the same experience.

Thanks for all the responses.I wouldn't even consider giving anything. She can learn a lesson,I can stretch out some little used skills and tools from another life. May you all find windfall profits!

That's the spirit.

Next time if you want to continue to invest in bitcoin/crypto — buy the coins/tokens, then hold them using a Ledger/Trezor hardware wallet.

Also, when picking exchanges, use the already well-known and reputable ones. Seriously, the likes of Binance and Kucoin are great, and there's little to no reason to be using other exchanges.

What I don’t understand is her GF giving her that referral code even if she couldn’t withdraw from it. I mean usually a friend wouldn’t want to screw over another friend.

So either her girlfriend didn’t know it was a scam because she never tried to withdraw or there is something fishy going on.

Either way, in the future you need to google the site and make sure you read reviews about people who used the service before. And never use a service who was in operation for such little time.

@OP sorry to say but if there's not that much domain information you can find on the web, then your wife has been scammed. I have never heard about them as well.
What you can do right now is nothing but to inform everybody just like this thread that you guys have been scammed by that website and service and everyone should avoid it.

...Are we screwed?...

Yes, you screwed up. This is a 100% scam project. It took me a few minutes to establish that the photos of the team members kraytrade.com (https://archive.ph/hh3iV) presented by stock photos. I do not want to conduct additional verification of the rest of the team members, since the presence of such a fact already confirms that the project is a scam.

Gamble responsibly
Has anyone heard of them?
If you pay any money into that site called Kraytrade[dot]com, you will only just be scammed. Ttally avoid the site, the site was registered barely a month and 2 weeks ago.

I always wonder why people do not just like going for a reputable site that is also old enough to be trusted rather than new sites that are also mostly used by scammers.

Be careful to use websites that offer any form for free or big profits, I reviewed the kraytrade.com web review, it doesn't look good, lots of negative feedback.

Maybe you try to check the kraytrade.com web below.

https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/kraytrade.com
Quote
Negative highlights
• The owner of the website is using a service to hide their identity on WHOIS
• According to Tranco this site has a low Alexa rank
• This website may offer high-risk cryptocurrency services
This webshop offers anonymous payment methods.
This website has been reported as a possible scam on Scamadviser
• This website has received negative reviews
• This website is (very) young.

If i look here there is a warning: Beware of Kraytrade.com! You might be a victim of this!, which seems unpleasant, I believe Kraytrade.com is a fake and phishing site, based on crypto investment and trading.

I advise you to stop using the Kraytrade.com website.

It's a very popular scam right now.... Scammers DM their victims about how successful they are as a trader and later on offers help. The catch is victims will be redirected to some no one has ever heard website, similar to you. They will try to loosen up their victims by saying "you can always start with small amounts". That being said, few trades will work until the victim does a big enough deposit for the scammer to freeze their account. You might get asked to pay more money to them in order to get your funds out, please don't.

Aloha,
I have done a little trading here and there since about 2001.Nothing big after the loss of my hard drive, and quite a bag of coin,in 2003.A couple days ago my lovely wife,on the advice, and referral code of a GF,joined Kraytrade.com.On the allure of free money of course. Unbeknownst to me, until after the 3rd deposit was complete. So at this point she has deposited .032 BTC into her account there and came to me because she can't move or do anything else with it. I have emailed support, and used the chat function.with no solutions. I googled them and can't find any direct complaints or problems. They are associated with Payward somehow. I don't know how else to go about getting our money back out to use for its original purpose(Rent).
Are we screwed?
Has anyone heard of them?
Are there methods I am missing to try and reclaim our money,or the coin associated?
Any comments, questions, or help are appreciated.
Mahalo in advance for any and all help
There are so many things wrong with this that it is not surprising that something like that happened to your wife. Your wife used money that she could not afford to lose, as that money was supposed to be for rent, she did not do her due diligence, tried to trade because she thought she could get some free money, probably knows nothing about trading, followed the referral code of someone else and finally put her money in a website almost no one has heard about and that looks like a scam, so I hope you recover your money but things do not look good for you.

Well, why I won't try to sound or assume the position of a marriage counselor I think your "lovely wife" was in the wrong not to have informed you of her investment move first before making the move. There ought to be cross fertilization of ideas between a couple on major issues such as finance and upkeep. Now, back to the site; it's an obvious investment gone wrong example. The cash fell into wrong hand and I don't think it can be retrieved. That's gone. It's a shoddy site.

The website looks shoddy, their English isn't great, and they don't even have social media pages. This is 99% likely a scam.

Chances are, you lost your money. Expensive mistake. Next time do research before depositing money like it's play money.

I have searched "Kraytrade scam" on the Internet and There is not much information, but the little that there is points to it being a scam, in addition to the fact that it is a new site:

"The domain name was created only 1 month ago.

A shopping website created less than 4 months ago is too new and potentially suspicious."

Keep trying to get the money out just in case but it looks like a scam.

Are we screwed?

- Yes! If after depositing on that platform, the money you put in cannot be moved, and you don't see anyone who can report such an issue to
the exchange you chose, it is obvious that you made a wrong decision to invest money. There are so many other exchange platforms that are
known for cryptocurrency, I wonder why you chose that as the source of your money. Here it seems like you showed that you just put money
in without knowing what you are going to put in. It's a bit of a lesson that happened to you and I hope you learn from this matter.

Quote
Has anyone heard of them?

- honestly, I just heard and found out about that now, because if that exchange platform was popular, it would have been the noise in the
world of cryptocurrency, but it is not like that in the reality that it happened months and years ago.

Are there methods I am missing to try and reclaim our money,or the coin associated?

- If a few days have passed and there is still no reply of the answers to the issue you faced on their platform, it only means one thing, which
is to accept it, you will have a hard time withdrawing the money you first entered in that exchange, but I hope you can release it.
