Think for yourself
What is the current rating for the 5 Volt line on your power supply?

I have two old 350 Watt ATX Power Supplies that say they supply 30 Amps on the 5 Volt line.  BUT I would NOT run 49 BE's on that hub regardless.  I'm running 40 on mine now and that seems OK for now.  But I have a fan on the fuse because it get EXTREMELY hot.  I have a 10 port hub on order and when that comes in I'll be dropping my 49 port hub down to 30 BE's as I don't feel like it's safe to run fully loaded.

first off shitcan the fuse it is 40 amp and not safe buy a 30 amp fuse.

go to an auto parts store.

I melted a 40 amp fuse so do not learn like I did.

second run 38-40 sticks.  sell a few on ebay or somthing and buy a new antminer stick..

1 antminer stick runs at an over clock of 2gh so it = 6 block erupters.

if you sell 10 be's and get 2 antminers it is a gain in hash and a loss in power.

antminers are the same size as a block eruptor  and you can share a hub just run the ant miners with the custom cgminer and run the block eruptors with bfg miner.

as for a 350 watt psu running your gear that is possible but not likely to work long term.  and use fans to cool your gear.

Please read my comment above that corsair vs350 PSU DOES NOT have enough power on the 5v rail to run 38-40 sticks.....It offers 14A @ 5v

If this is a vs350 there is no way it will run even the erupters by itself no where near enough amperage on the 5v rail.  IT would run MAYBE 25-28 MAX consistently.

I would first make sure there is a ground to the equipment, get a different PSU for the erupters w/ at least 25A (Higher preferred as that is close) on the 5V and run the hex16s off the existing vs350.

For all I know running these 49port Hubs fully loaded can and eventually will damage them if you're unlucky.
Seems at this loaded config the port itself requires some cooling.

There are some example images of literally burned components on the PCB of the port due to the high amps flowing through it.
If what I remember is correct, you're much better off running a few less erupters on it, if it isn't already too late.

Other than that, you should check out a plug that has grounding if possible indeed.

I have a 49-port block erupter hub ans two hex16a2's hooked op to a corsair v350 PSU and i don't have grounded power sockets in my appartment except 9in the kitchen. All the equipment is on a wooden shelf. Every few minutes-days all the power just shuts off and I have to take out the atx plug and put it back in and everything boots back up and runs for anything from a few minutes to a few days until it powers off again. Should I just run a grounded psu cable from my kitchen or do you guys have a more practical solution?

Or am I looking at this problem in entirely the wrong way?

The hub is running 49 block erupters btw.

Any help would be greatly appreciated this is driving me crazy and costing my serious gigahashes. Just hate waking up and finding out it shorted 5mins after I went to bed...
