The 2nd transaction fee was 4/5 times higher cannot find this id.
if you did, you would see the new txid on electrum instead... can you check whether there exist a new txid
if there is, then get its rawtx and push it manually to the network or post the hex rawtx here and we push it for you

I wasn't expecting this rawtx, this one you posted is the hex rawtx for your old tx with low fee
I asked for the new hex rawtx if you did manage to create new txid with higher fee on your upgraded electrum

The tag- Removed/DoubleSpending is no longer on btc.com. BTC.com accelerator wants to charge me $72 to accelerate what is essentially a $125 transaction. Why/How are the fees so extortionate?

My original fee is very low, can anyone tell me if I might be better off closing my wallet (stop broadcasting) and hope it drops out of pool.
Or to keep broadcasting for a little longer. Its been 3 days since first broadcast.

Dont use up those tx accelerator which would charge you out those ridiculous fees.If you are not on a rush better not to stress out yourself out or try to read up https://www.reddit.com/r/Electrum/comments/7c3wkt/unconfirmed_parent_double_spend_transaction/ which would potential help you out. Otherwise you can use CPFP (Child Pays For Parent).

Thanks for reply..42981e630fe9561364b167cc8f1025f6464cc0f7da84d01655e7bf2a61d7b56d is the origanal TX with low fee.

Its been 3 days now..would I be better off to stop broadcasting for a few days and wait for it to drop out or should I keep broadcasting?
I don't think you successfully created the 2nd tx with electrum
if you did, you would see the new txid on electrum instead... can you check whether there exist a new txid
if there is, then get its rawtx and push it manually to the network or post the hex rawtx here and we push it for you

Thanks for reply. I did not have RBF on first Tx. The id is the same. Not sure whats happening.
Will the coins eventually be returned to my wallet? How long can this take? Can you tell me anything based on TX id?

It would indeed be a double spend if you would sent them again with a higher fee.

If 42981e630fe9561364b167cc8f1025f6464cc0f7da84d01655e7bf2a61d7b56d is the one with the higher fee, then i think it will take some time before it will be confirmed, the average fee currently is around 450 sat/b, according to https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/, while yours is ~80sat/b.

Not if the transaction confirms. And yes, eventually nodes will drop it out of their mempool if you don't keep rebroadcasting it.

Your coins reappeared? Not sure how that works, Electrum should have still syncd to show you the unconfirmed spend even after upgrade.

You sure you did an RBF though? Your first tx would have had to be set as replaceable (opt-in), you can't do RBF if your the tx you're replacing wasn't set as RBF when you spent it. So I'm supposing you did a double spend... but not opt-in RBF. You still have the tx id of first?

Hello, I am a bit of a novice and would appreciate some help.
I sent btc from my electrum wallet 3 days ago with a low fee. I know this can delay transaction for many days so I tried to speed it up
with replace fees from wallet. As I was doing this I realized my wallet needed an upgrade so I upgraded my wallet. After doing this my coins reappeared in my wallet so I sent them again with higher fee. Now on btc.com my transaction comes up as removed/doublespending.

Here is my transaction id:42981e630fe9561364b167cc8f1025f6464cc0f7da84d01655e7bf2a61d7b56d
