Yes, Armory must be fully synced on the online computer before any funds can be moved.

Thankfully the transaction did happen! (I found it on blockchain.info).

Can I only move it if Armory is fully functional? Is there no way for me to move it without having to get Armory started on another computer/synchronise Bitcoin QT again?

Thank you for your help!!

I'm not sure the online version of Armory would work particularly well on a system with only 2 GB of RAM. On my Mac, BC Core alone takes up almost 350 MB of RAM, and Armory takes 400 MB, on top of the OS X overhead. You may have to try a computer with more RAM. You should also check blockchain.info to confirm that the transaction went through before initiating a restoration.

Hello,

In my naive haste I thought I could simply transfer a bitcoin to my offline Armory wallet. I hadn't even downloaded Bitcoin QT when I made the transfer.

Bitcoin QT is now synchronised with the network after a few days, however Armory will not even start "Scan Transaction History". This current computer (Mac OS X Yosemite) only has 2GB of ram. I had backed up my wallet to a disconnected USB drive before anything.

Now I am now simply trying to gain access and preferably move my bitcoin to an easier to use wallet (hot or cold).

Any advice is hugely welcome!!

Many thanks in advance!
