Hey guys,
This one beats me and I have no idea what can be the problem.
I am running on Giga 7950 GPU and it works and runs smoothly. I have tried mining different types of Algo on this and everything runs smoothly.
When I run Scrypt, N-Scrypt, Keccak etc on my miner, I get a normal sound from the rig. Please see audio file below while on Scrypt, N-Scrypt, Keccak etc:
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1JtVurpH3DaNow when I switch on SGMiner and mine x11, I get a weird buzzing noise that is louder than the actual fan noise. See audio file below. If I close the SGMiner / x11 miner, the noise goes off right away. The temp and fan speed are perfect in SGMiner and its runs and hashes just fine, without any HW errors, but the buzz is annoying and difficult to sleep in the night cause of this.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1IpBeraD64mI tried playing with the config settings and tried changing almost everything I could (temp, intensity, auto & gnu fan, etc.) to see if I can eliminate the buzz noise. No luck so far.
This is my current setting:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
color 0a
sgminer -k darkcoin -o URL:PORT -u USER -p x -I 20 -g 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20 --thread-concurrency 24000 --temp-cutoff 95 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-target 75 --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1
Note: The noise does reduce a bit when I lower the Intensity to 13, but I don't see why the buzz should be present in the first place and something that does not happen with other Algo.
Note: the audio is recorded from the same place on the rig.
Thanks in advance.
